Mod Updating to 1.8 Progress Spreadsheet

No, but things don't run smoothly. I don't like it when things don't run smoothly.

Necessities for every mod pack (almost)

OpenEye. OpenEye should defintely be a must for modpacks. It really helps get out crash reports, even if there isn't much detail about them. I've honestly narrowed down a few bugs using crash reports from OpenEye alone, because, let's be honest, nobody reports their crashes unless it breaks...

Well, look at the TFC stone textures, they are, for the most part, identifiably different, but the still have a similar flavor and would hurt your beautiful eyes if you looked at them all in the same place.

I would like it a whole lot more if the textures blended better. From looking at the screenshots, they all clash horrendously, particularly the normal Minecraft ores with the other variations. TFC kinda does the same thing with all the stone, but the textures are a lot smoother transitions to...

Porting something like the Aether to 1.6.4 is a great feat. Trying to add compatibility with that when you don't know what's going to break is nearly impossible. Coding is one step at a time, if you try to rush everything at once, you're going to ruin yourself. Baby steps. And they're probably...

It's already been used by people. iirc, Caclavia did it with UE to automatically create a new dust based off of the color of the ingot/gem added to the game. I did something similar with Technomancy as well to prevent the creation of 50+ textures of different color variants that would all look...

Although it is a good system, what is the actual purpose for changing it? IMO, it sounds like a lot more work than is necessary to "recap" the weeks news without having to scroll through a page or two of off-topic discussion, which is the only advantage of this system that I can plainly see.

And this. Using different frames for your machines changes the tier of the machine allowing more advanced upgrades. Nifty.
