    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

You could use an Energy Phantomface, but the investment/profit balance would be horrible. Thanks for the confirmation.

@WuffleFluffy : I noticed your thermoelectric engine setup has lava and snow across two axes. Can you confirm that you get more power out of them that way? I thought the maximum output per generator depended only on the materials, not on the number of blocks.

Some more about my progress through the pack.... screenshots are now in spoilers by request of a thread regular. (1) Yay, my first rocket! Well, I have moved the launch pad since I made these screenshots since I want to construct a building around the multiblocks eventually, but this looks nice...

Nice! As for what to build, you'll need some EnderIO machines like Closet Gamer suggested, but as for larger builds I'd put priority on some serious RF power generation. I never regretted that I built a full-fledged Immersive Engineering power setup including 16 Thermoelectric Engines for...

Do you have a picture of your setup? Possible problems are hard to discern without one. You did use connectors to power the machines, not relays, right? Also, are you using IE capacitors? They have to be set to output power with the Engineer's Hammer.

RFTools also has its storage system, and it is quite powerful and can do everything AE2 can do that's not related to autocrafting. I've used it from Age 6 to Age 10, and I didn't dismantle it even then but integrated it with AE2 because it offers interdimensional access without any extra...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Yeah, I was so thoroughly sick of repeated handcrafting of the same stuff and running back and forth between machines, I went all-out with automation. I also just moved into Age 11 by using - thankfully - exactly one Tech Reborn machine, and used the opportunity to automate the Arc Furnace for...

I have no idea how to create small pictures that expand when you click on them, but I can put all my pictures in spoiler tags. Would that help?

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Phew....at last the conversion of my base to AE2 integration is complete. Some highlights: Circuit automation I have found an elegant way to automate Forestry Circuit Board Production. You need: 3 carpenters, 3 ME interfaces, some conduits and 3 counting conduit filters. The first picture...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Yeah, but things don't always work out as planned. I found you often underestimate the space you'll need for something, and since your base grows with progress in the pack and I don't know some relevant mods yet to come (most notably Tech Reborn and Advanced Rocketry) there is always...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

BTW, I just found out that the Soartex site now has a "Modded Universal" texture pack for 1.10.2 in both the Fanver and Invictus categories. These are quite new (about a month old) and may be worth checking out. I haven't seen any documentation, but from a look into the folders the list of...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I'm using two. The base is Soartex Invictus. It's nominally for 1.12 and you will get a warning if you try to install it on 1.10.2, but it's documented to work with 1.10 and it does. I modded the water to look more like vanilla (just overwrite the textures in the pack, but I don't recall where...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Go on, but please put some windows in ;) Note, however, that I am, in fact, not satisfied with the appearance of my base. I developed a style I like back in the days when I played Revolution 1 (shame on you, @Haggle1996, that you discontinued my favorite modpack), and I haven't been able to...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I decided to share some pics of my Age 9 base. To start with, my game differs in three minor aspects from the "pure" experience: (1) I installed Fast Leaf Decay - it is only realistic after all. (2) I installed Not Enough Wands and disabled everything but the swapping and building wands...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I have a bug to report: Crafting the IC Pattern Storage in an RFTools Storage Scanner does not trigger age 7, nor does it trigger if you drop it and pick it up again. Crafting it in a crafting table or TiC crafting station works.

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I make them in batches, the size of which depends on resources - 16 early in Age 5, 32 late in Age 5, and now in Age 6, where resources cease to be a problem, I just throw a stack of Restonia blocks together with the other stuff into my Empowerer setup and go from there. For automation I use...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

It didn't work out anyway. I got a reproducible crash on loading my world at some point, something in the renderer it appears. I couldn't track it, but I have a suspicion it has something to do with the shield block mimic function that was newly re-introduced in V7 of RFtools, since my shield...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Unfixable, eh? I have switched the pack to Forge 12.18.3.2488 and updated RFTools, RFTools Dimensions and RFTools Control to the newest versions. The crash with the RFTools manual is gone, no negative side effects so far, except that the launcher forgets the new Forge version in spite of my...

That page comes up empty for me, in several browsers.

I have noticed the version of RFTools in the pack is rather old. Would it break anything if I update it?
