    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

You are routing your slimeballs to the output. Change the "Ext" to "Int" for the slimeball crafting recipe in order to send them to the internal storage to make them available for further crafting. Also, reserve space for both slimeballs and the original congealed slime blocks in the internal...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I...have decided to change a few things before I really end the pack. The reason: my thermal evaporation plants stopped working after a world load because they were built across chunk boundaries, so I had to relocate them. Unforunately, that meant putting them outside the dome, since inside...

    Daihoks 1.12.2 Modpack.

Wow, that's a giant pack you're putting together. I almost feel bad to suggest adding yet another mod, but I think Chisel would be good to have. Also, I'm delighted to see that apparently Extra Cells has made it to 1.12. Without it, I always feel AE2 is missing a significant aspect of storage...

What do you use AE2/RS for?

For me, the appeal of AE(2) and RS is all about integrated autocrafting. In large modpacks with many complex mods with long crafting chains, repeatedly crafting the same complex thing becomes a chore. I don't think I can play a tech mod any more without something like these mods provide. I also...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Almost finished. All that's left to do is to experiment with RFTools screens in order to paint a name on this mobile space station. Here's the last technical build I made: 32 perfectly (!) synchronized alloy furnaces. That took quite a bit of experimentation, but I got it done. Why built such a...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I do not recommend using up your plutonium for MOX fuel. You'll need one item of "pellets of RTG fuel" for each Extreme Reactors fuel rod, and every such item requires 3 plutonium - and you'll need a reasonably big Extreme reactor in order to make the cyanite that will give you the Blutonium (!)...

Still lots to do on my space station: -switch everything over to Mekanism metals, meaning many recipe changes in my AE2 system -add factory upgrades to some of my Mekanism machines which hadn't had them so far. -build another set of TEPs just in case I decide to make a Mekanism fusion reactor...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Some impressions of my progress.... 1. I placed some Mekanism solars out here. Power is transported to the consumers by Quantum Entangloporter. Also, I'm wondering if the connecting elements look better as aluminium scaffolding instead of aluminium sheetmetal. So far they're a mix of both. 2...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

You could say that, though in this case it's a familiar hole. I love Mekanism. I may curse through my teeth at times because its machines are harder to automate than IC2's or EnderIOs, but I like the style, the sound of the machines and the processing. Here, I'm familiar with things because...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Here's the long explanation: Lithium (gas) can be made two ways: process liquid lithium made from brine in a Thermal Evaporation Plant in a Rotary Condensentrator, or simply run IC2 lithium dust through a Chemical Oxidizer. There were several reasons to use IC2 lithium as a source: I didn't...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

This complicated-looking setup is making four of the five gases for the creative gas tank - ethylene I could take from my power generation setup. The thermal evaporation tower is somewhere else, with the brine being transported here by Ender tank. The tank on the right has Clean Osmium Slurry...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

LOL, this looks very familiar. BTW, I must say I learned a lot about IC2 playing this pack. For instance, how to configure ejection/pulling upgrades for specific sides. I didn't even know that was possible before - and it means that IC2 machines are as easily automatable as EnderIO machines. I...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Here's how I made my first HV solar array: I automated two metal formers for batch processing and let them make the copper wires, tin plates/casings and iron plates you need. I also automated an Extractor for batch processing and let it make the rubber. I don't recall if other machines were...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

It's older than Star Trek, and not TV but written. The German Perry Rhodan series started 1961 - and it's still running. I left it behind but I recall enough, and fondly enough, to occasionally get nostalgic. It had some SF themes in its early decades which I liked a great deal, but which have...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

All you need to do is kill the chaos dragon.... Which I found to be...well...not enjoyable at all since it punishes the "careful and slow" approach to fighting I not only prefer, but have no choice but to adopt because of some odd condition that gives me a trembling mouse hand in boss fights...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

It isn't as bad as people say. Once you have it stable - which is not hard if you follow this guide, the temperature goes down slowly, so there's no chance it'll blow up from losing containment unless you make a wrong adjustment for efficiency (for which there is a temptation, yes), and in order...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

I have now replaced my Extreme Reactor with....a more extreme reactor: And it appears I found a relatively good stable spot at high output that only requires occasional adjustment to avoid...not an accident, but too much inefficiency: This is how things look at my power core. I still can't...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

No, I've used the RFTools autocrafter for that. RFTools Control I used to automate the production of entangled singularities. Though now that you've mentioned it, using RFTools Control may have gotten me around the problem with the RE batteries. Also, it appears you *can* make a draconic...

    [1.10.2] Age of Engineering

Here's a hypothesis about the odd fluctuations in solar power some people may experience on their space stations: some component influencing solar power output appears to use real-world day/night cycles. This affects both IC2 and ET solar power - IC2 solar panels either generate no power or...
