I really like sludge, actually. It produces Mud Blocks, which can be broken in Mud. Mud can be smelted into Mud Bricks, then turned into Mud Brick Blocks, which are a really nice decoration block. :)
If you're playing 1.5 (or even 1.6), there's Ender IO. The capacitor dynamically changes when you add blocks to it, so you could just add a whole bunch of capacitor blocks together and have a massive power buffer. ^^
Goodness this is a fun discussion. I'm bringing up another point: BALANCED != FUN. No matter what. You can link the two, but I actually like the things that a lot of people tend to call "OP". You can have fun without balanced things.
In fact, I don't actually think anything is "OP". It's...
Well, there evidently is a problem in that there should be a Bee House and a pair of Rocky Bees in the starting chest, but there isn't one. As for the Mystcraft thing, there really aren't any boundaries. I tried to make the map as non-linear as possible, as well as the least amount of rules as...
Hmmm... I'll check up on why that is the way it is.
And I'll remove the UU-Matter. It wasn't something I particularly relied on, but it seems like it's getting negative feedback.
Mine was actually on a vanilla (hiss) server playing a minigame called Dwarves vs Zombies. It wasn't actually that mini, considering the size of the map, and how long it took for each round to end, but it was fun all the same. :) I have yet to encounter a modded Dwarves vs Zombies game.
I really like "Midna's Lament", from "The Legend Of Zelda: The Twilight Princess". It's also called "Midna's Desperate Hour". It's very dark, and really nice to listen to while curled up on a couch watching the rain fall. :)
