I don't see how it "beats" mfr in any other way then if mfr was limited to a 17x17 area. but in that case mfr has a fertilizer... so 1 additional block (up to 3 now, still 75% less blocks then Forestry) and MFR has 600% production... Forestry will not beat that... I get what you are trying to...

IC2 hasn't changed lol, Nuclear is about the only other option you have... wind/water but those are so low it isn't worth it (which is funny because hydro-electric is still a huge power supply around the world)

I love IC2... I couldn't imagine playing FTB without it. It works VERY well in my playstyle... I use TE to break everything down, AE to make my patterns and then overclocked IC2 machines to make all my stuff... cheap and easy
