Is Rotarycraft really useful in Monster?

Presumably he's saying that you need a worm gear to power a grinder to get lubricant for wooden gears (though I thought I saw somewhere that they use heat sinks now instead of lubricant...it's possible I imagined that though, I've never used wooden gears.) Personally, I always just do a steam...

Does anybody have any info on Thermal Dynamics?

Mekanism pipes give you good view of the items and intelligent routing. Honestly, they're probably my favorite pipe system. I just wish there were more systems than could give you access to all your items at a centralized location besides LP and AE (and maybe there are, but I'm unaware of them.)

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

Even without AE it's no hassle. Three cyclic assemblers (or Ender IO crafters) will make you wooden axes, or throw in some way to get cobble and get stone ones (I find stone ones break in the middle of trees less often, and I use less wood, which is why I built the tree farm in the first...

Ender IO Farming Station vs MFR Planter/Harvester Combo , Efficiency

Ender IO Farming Station with spruce trees. I had a completely unupgraded one, was using a charcoal every 5 seconds, and still managed to end up with a barrel full of charcoal and a barrel full of wood in about an hour. No growth acceleration at all, but the spruce trees grow in giant 2x2's...

Direwolf20 1.7.10 Help, Venting and Discussion Thread

Huh...that's a good thought, that didn't even occur to me (despite my love of SFM for other tasks.) I'll have to give that a try.

Direwolf20 1.7.10 Help, Venting and Discussion Thread

Just out of curiosity, has anyone figured out a way to pump a sword out of an Ender IO Killer Joe? I tried pretty much every side, and it didn't seem to be possible. I wanted to use it, but if I can't get the sword out to recharge/repair it, I guess I'll have to go with something else.

DW20 and the paradox of choice

The basic fluid conduits don't require quartz, and are quite servicable, if a bit slower than I'd like (still faster than some other mods pipes, however.) The item conduits are a bit of a problem, but the darksteel sword (The Ender, I believe it's called) seems to make every Enderman drop an...

Silverwood and magical forest DW20 1.7

I've been playing DW20 just to get a feel for the new/updated mods before playing something where the recipes are tweaked to hell and back (since changing recipes seems to be the cool thing to do these days...sigh) and I've found at least 2 Magical Forests, so it is possible to find them.

DW20 and the paradox of choice

Considering I've used it to pump ~30,000 buckets of oil out of the ground in the last couple days, I'd say it still works okay. Granted, I was powering it with a compression dynamo that was also running a refinery. I'd wanted to use the EIO combustion generator, but it doesn't accept fuel. :(

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I had intended to use biofuel, but the Harvestcraft plants grow so slow that there simply wasn't enough excess of my food crops to make me comfortable turning them into fuel. Granted, once I had animals I could have set up a fertilizer, but by that point I had reactants, furnace generators, and...

What is the most overpowered mod in your opinion (NO ORESPAWN)

It would be interesting to actually have to cut gemstones in order to use them. Probably would end up a machine doing it eventually, but having to craft a jeweler's loop and cutting tools to do it manually at first would be somewhat amusing. Having to do tech to get wood would be a problem...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I think they'll work as long as they're in one of the 8 adjacent squares. That said, it always tells me that the machines are missing until it has enough pressure, items, patterns, etc., to work. However, whenever I change the pattern, it derps out and won't run, so I end up breaking the...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

You can just use blocks if you have the laser and drill program. However, I've found that it seems to derp when I change programs and I end up having to break the controller.

What is the most overpowered mod in your opinion (NO ORESPAWN)

There's actually two ways to get non-ore dictionary/silk touch items with the digital miner. You can set it to inverse mode and blacklist what you don't want (you'll end up with at least some things you don't want, as it will mine up bedrock, buildcraft springs and gascraft shale) or be lazy...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

No worries. Like I said, for normal use it's not an issue. If you do something stupid like I did and have 300+ cows all trying to feed one sewer, though, it can cause issues. P.S. I don't suggest anyone ever try to keep 300+ cows hanging around...between the noise and the lag, it's a bad...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

Sure, but I think you're actually missing my point. If you've got a couple hundred cows (which I've had before, because trying to keep up with a fertilizer is pretty ridiculous...I think I was using 5 or 6 composters simultaneously and they were struggling to keep up) you're going to generate...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

It's terribly inefficient, though. There's only so much the tank in the sewer can hold, and when you're generating more per sewer tick than the tank holds, you just wasted a bunch of sewage. I usually use upgrades so sewers cover a 3X3 area and then make my pen 9X9. You end up with some extra...

    [Rotarycraft] Does not Compute

It also has to be at a certain temperature (though I don't recall specifically what temperature.) Anyway, I've always just put a block of lava underneath it, and that works fine, assuming it doesn't burn your house down.

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

I had EU piping dealing with the output of 4 SFM powered sifters (gravel, dust ,sand, soul sand) plus my mob farm, and it not only kept up, but when I got stuff backed up (due to full barrels or rare mob drops I didn't have a spot for yet) it could empty a 3/4 full diamond chest in 30 seconds or...

[1.6.4]Crash Landing [Hardcore, HQM] version 1.1.x BETA STABLE

It's always done that for me. Luckily, when I use it most (early game mining, as I otherwise forget to properly light my mine) it only drops me to about 50-60 fps, so still perfectly playable. Incidentally, I was flying around the other day looking for cities, and the number of chunk updates...
