No. There will never be an update to the beta a pack. There may be packs in the future that are similar, but since it has served its purpose there is no point to updating it.

This makes sense since Mystcraft is in a bit of flux right now. Lots of things are changing, Anne waiting for a solid version will enhance the pack overall.

I am not sure what they are aware of - I have not had direct contact with them myself. I just know they specifically requested GregTech turned up to 11 :-)

You'd have to change the configs for GregTech manually to what you felt was right. There were /massive/ changes to the configuration file in GregTech between 1.4.2 and 1.4.6, so its not the easiest to make a direct comparison.

We should be able to convert Beta A packs to other mod packs, yes. We're working on some tools to make it easy to do so as well, but are waiting for the final configurations of all the packs to be ready. Can't make a good converter if you don't know what you are converting to ;-)
