The entire mod will be disabled, if the plan remains the same. Enabling the mod would just be the work of a few button presses within the launcher, though - the same as it is currently to enable or disable ANY mod in the pack.

To give an official word on GregTech in the Ultimate Pack, it will be included, but disabled by default. Easily able to be turned on via the launcher, if you so desire. That is the current plan, but keep in mind all plans are still subject to change.

My understanding is that most of those types of mods don't exist currently for Forge. However, several are in the works, and when they are available and ready for prime time, we would be very interested in them.

The best thing I can offer, then, is to keep in mind that the only moderators, and the only ones who have moderation powers on the forums, are those of us with the "Moderator" or "Global Moderator" tags under our usernames/avatars. We will not be splitting the forum into a children's section...

I would also like to re-iterate that starting petitions for changes in FTB is not welcome. Requests, sure. Suggestions - we welcome them. But petitions carry the inherent implication that we must do whatever they say. This is not acceptable, as we could not continue to deliver a quality...
