When will the FTB pack update?

I know that dire wolf's pack as well as the mindcrack pack have updated,
however, does any one know when the FTB pack will?
Because while i enjoy playing on SSP. i do run an FTB server for me and my bros.
and would like to play some SMP with some of the new mods.(redpower, how i missed you.)
Also, i any one knows a way to set up a server with either the mindcrack pack, or,
dire wolf's pack please let me know.

The "FTB pack" is just a beta pack used in testing the launcher out and everything, it won't be updated and is being discontinued. However, a "Ultimate Pack" is being released to replace that one and it will include many if not all of the mods in the beta (I think.) I don't believe a release date is set in stone yet, and I also heard that it might not be released anytime soon because some mods (namely mystcraft and immbis mods) aren't updated or are really buggy. The developers want to take their time on this pack and iron out all the bugs so we can have a nice, stable pack to work with. Sorry, I can't help you with the server setup, but do you know where the download for the servers themselves are?

When you go onto the launcher, there should be an option right under the "news" tab named "filter settings". Filter the mod pack type by server and then search packs, you should be able to find and download the server by doing that.

Okay. You are very confused. FTB Insanity was a Skyblock/Super Hostile crossover map for 1.2.5 with many of the mods used in FTB packs now. There are not many differences between the DW20 and Mindcrack pack, I suggest you check my stickied thread at the top of this section.

All that is left before the Ultimate Pack is released is for the mod list to be finalized and for some bug-testing to take place. I hope for a release before new year, although I am getting doubtful.

I would realy like to see something offical about this, and i would like to know, if the pack stays at 1.4.2 or will be exchanged with the new ultimate pack (for taking SSP saves with me). And what does this mean for SMP?

The official word is that the search function on this forum is your friend, as well as researching posts made by global moderators. Then you would already have found many instances of information saying that the FTB Beta A pack will never be updated, and one of the other packs will be what you want going forward.
