    Sigh... Stagnation

Stagnation? Man I still haven't managed to grind through the endgame of Witchery or make all the LP stuff I wanna make. How can you feel bored with so many options?

1.7 Flagship pack and your guys thoughts, My question for the community.

It doesn't matter what mods are or are not out for 1.7 right now. The current stable release of Forge is not ready for primetime use, because it's sitting over a version of minecraft that is not ready for primetime modding. There's talk of getting Forge caught up, but Mojang keeps bumping...

Nuclear power and advanced tech. The good, the bad, and the mentally unstable (aka the USSR).

This is really, really wrong to say. Since the widespread adoption of the Scientific Method, we've yet to really "overturn" laws. We've realized our laws are special cases of more general laws (e.g., Einstein revising Newton's work on Gravitation or Quantum Theory in development for handling...

Steve's Carts not collecting hybrid Forestry saplings?

You do need to set up some track automation to keep your trains from colliding head on.

Steve's Carts not collecting hybrid Forestry saplings?

Doesn't the fertilizer module work on trees? I never needed it but I seemed to recall that it did. You can also crossmod it. A lamp of growth will make short work of that kind of wood requirement. You can also have 2 carts going in opposite directions around the track if latency is the issue.

Steve's Carts not collecting hybrid Forestry saplings?

Maybe. Even the second tier harvester had better yield, WAY cheaper cost per area, could handle overflow better, and could run continuously on a large system for a week of chunkloaded real time off of solar power. But people get offended at the IDEA of a non-infinite system even as they then...

Steve's Carts not collecting hybrid Forestry saplings?

You know that it's a known issue with Steve's Carts treefarms that they just don't work on mod trees. This is why everyone stopped using them. It happened when VSWE decided that the treefarm was too powerful and then overly nerfed it, then un-nerfed it. In doing that he seems to have manually...

[Solved] Help needed: Adding Minechem to Monster Pack

Minechem uses its own metrics to try and infer what the recipes are for things and then output the right chemicals, as I understand it. It uses the oredict and some internal knowledge to get at this data. This has some bugs (for awhile, factorization lead ingots output like infinite lead), but...

    Too easy

My favorite example: There is a video of me chain-dying in top tier blood magic gear to Elementals while Saice is untouched in his thaumium protv armor. I went to Way and grumpily asked him why he hates his own mod. He investigated and did not realize how incredibly good protv could be when...

    Too easy

"Vanilla has been OP" for a long time. Many modders I've worked with run afoul of how absurdly good vanilla armor and tools can get.

    Too easy

What you want is more content. Mod developers can only deliver so much. Most games have run out of content LONG before Modded Minecraft can. I dunno how to continue the conversation then. What you explicitly reject is the idea that it's your responsibility to craft your own challenges. Perhaps...

    Too easy

There is no reason to play minecraft, then. If you cannot accomplish a goal you set and feel satisfaction in that goal... then this may not be the game for you. That said, IC2 & GT have always had broken power systems, design wise. Manufacture a challenge arena sufficiently difficult to...

    Too easy

To be honest? Minecraft is always easy. Even Agrarian Skies is a straightforward game of building with no serious difficulty once you understand the specific mods and mod interactions that Jaded & team expect you to use (in many cases you can actually sneak around the edges of the intended...

I am tired of waiting. [1.7 mod suggestions unofficial thread]

Actually, I was the last person to do major work on them! One of the ONLY cases where that's still true; Velotican is a champ. He did make the last changes (re enabling metals in the nether that Lambert hated the texture of).

    The Problem with Mod Documentation/Repositories

I will fight people like you every way I can. Your attitude makes people insecure, disenfranchises young people and under-represented people from joining the industry, and influences professionals to do things the wrong way for fear of judgement. It makes people defensive when presented with...

    The Problem with Mod Documentation/Repositories

While good coding style is of course important, no one owes you any documentation. This is false, logically and empirically. There are more resources for new modders now than ever before. Given that poorly written code in mods is hardly a new phenomenon, it'd already BE worse. On the...

    The Problem with Mod Documentation/Repositories

You should be happy you get to see the code at all. I dunno what you know about the open source world, but generally the way this get fixed is not by you writing a letter, but by you talking less and submitting pull requests more. Every piece of code is a series of compromises, mistakes and and...
