    Not entirely true. JVM arguments CAN improve your gameplay experiences and sometimes even FPS. Java running with default settings isn't optimized for specific Apps/systems at all. So adjusting the JVM can improve your overall performance a bit. But one should not expect increases in performance...

    I'm sorry but it is not our job to make packs for you. We make the ones which are shipped through our launcher and and labled as "by FTB Team". If you want to have an easy way to switch either look around there are some privaten open packs which might cater to your needs or simply make one yourself.

    Than we do have completely different experiences. For me CraftGuide lags like hell while NEI performs ok (it could be better though). And using CoreMod as a counter argument to use a mod is bad. Now if you would have said Jar mod i would agree but CoreMods exist to still have access to base...

    The server the Jenkins is hosted on is down. There is nothing player can do to fix it. He has to wait till the hosting company brings the server back up. Lastest info to my knowledge is that it will be up again around Thursday.

    Are you abolutly certain that Render API and Player API + the base class modifications it needs are loaded in the right order? Forge->Render API->Player API?

    I am relatively certain that it is the Player API. Are you using MultiMC or the FTB launcher? IF you can try using MultiMC and make sure PLayer API is patched into the jar after Forge. This error most probably is caused by Forge overriding a patched minecraft base class from Player API.

    No it would still be a mountainous dessert, regardless if the gen code changed. Problem is that due to the changed gen forestry somehow doesn't recognize he old biomes anymore. I would have to dig through the code why exactly its happening as i don't know it right now.

    Have you updated from an earlier version to 1.1.2? It is a known issue that on updates information such as humidity and temperature can get lost by forestry.

    FTB Buildcraft Problem HELP! Please.

    I have seen a similar crash when you would place 2 tesseracts with a wooden pipe between them. The game tries to modify the ItemStack in the pipe twice. Try and put at least one gold (or any other type) pipe on each side of the diamond pipe.

    With powered we mean the output mode where you need to supply a redstone signal for the duct to pump anything. (You need to wrench it once and then you should see an arrow facing to the duct line from the device away) IIRC the values are as follows, but i could be wrong here: 1 "unpowered"...
