Tbh I mix 3 different mods in my farms, except when they are not compatible to particularly difficult plants.. MFR for planting and harvesting if its crops, thaumcraft golems to harvest trees. Thaumcraft lamp of growth is always there. Xeno's lilipads are my main source of growth acceleration...

Nope, it works perfectly with anything. Once destroyed some chunks with an ender quarry, then i was sad missing those chunks (Big squares in the minimap are ugly) so i repaired them with healing explosives :) Even if you build something, you have a base yuo don't like and want to destroy it...
