Not really because linked portals can be anywhere in the other dimension. You need some support from the mods api that includes those portals. Or some other way to find out where the portal links to as it is not guaranteed to be at the same coords in the other dimension :(

Which is exactly why i avoid them. Too cheap for the power they got. It's just not fun for me to make stuff with a tool i can have after 15mins of gameplay which is still one of the best until you delete your world...

Railcraft's locomotive and routing system is pretty good as well, lanterns and posts make good building materials and then those rails. The MJ power part is really the only thing i wouldn't miss from RaC honestly.

Out of the 4 mentioned only ATG does mess with the vanilla generator. All the others can either spawn their biomes with the vanilla one if configured to do so or have their own generator which has to be chosen on world creation to take effect. Personally BoP is no longer a biome mod for me...

I don't think AE is capable of pulling out of SPECIFIC slots in a machines. Reika only assigned the Input Slot and the last Output Slots to the extractor block faces. You'll need something like the FZ Router to pull intermediate products from the extractor.
