    Nowadays, all you touch is names - IDs are assigned internally and taken care of. (Also, a group which I unofficially call "the BC betatesters" have been playing with BC and TE4 for the last 5-6 months and they can testify as to the fun quality.)

    Fixed in BC7. With forty other mods to steal your attention they are, with BC alone or BC+RC+Forestry or something they're much less so. Besides, you can always start with one.

    Yeah, but that makes it harder to find BC oil. Perhaps underground deposits in taiga biomes aren't such a bad idea...

    That's something we have been considering since May 2014 and is, in fact, a great way to solve a huge amount of these issues, but first, we need to solve a massive issue: 1.7 has severely lowered the amount of deserts and deep oceans that spawn in the world.

    So remove the modules that add machines. My vision for BuildCraft is an ecosystem, but we give modules so that you can mix and match them with other mods if you wish. Also, I'm not making Yet Another Powered Furnace.

    Lies. BuildCraft is the best Thermal Expansion addon. About your comment on RF's simplicity... RF really is just passing numbers - if you want a challenge, try using BC kinesis pipes instead of TD energy ducts. Heh.

    Perhaps they didn't finish it yet; however I inspected the codebase and the direction it's going in, and that is the plan. (Right now, they still seem to depend on BC - Core, Transport and Silicon specifically; with BC 7, you will be able to include just those again)
