    I spent some time trying to automate it a couple weeks ago with Stripe Pipes... I think it's possible, but I haven't managed to make a reliable system yet.

    I know it definitely took a toll on my mana supply when I exchanged out a Natura Redwood's worth of saplings. Not sure why saplings would be disappearing though... maybe something nearby is picking them up? Or a hungry bag?

    Yep, provided it grows with the node, it'll form a somewhat small square of magical forest. You can identify the particular node containing log by the circles on the sides. If I recally, they're also not harvested when using a lumberaxe to chop down the tree.

    A good portion of my base is Magical Forest now, so that should look quite nice :)

    It's a bit of a pain using the basic broom, but I quite like it so long as I have an Owl Familiar summoned. (I don't recall thinking the broom was a pain before getting the Owl Familiar, but it's hard to go back.)

    It's because you're holding a stick. Holding a stick puts you in a sort of debug mode. edit: Toxic wins this round...

    Hmm... I may get around to that yet, still need to kill a Gaia spirit. Been to o busy with other things. Still, limiting factor with the broom isn't really the speed so much as how quickly the world loads as I explore.

    I'll figure out what mine is when I have a chance, spawn is near ocean on a large landmass (I haven't been able to outline it even w/a broom).

    I've got quite the Spruce collection since I started moving out. edit: Rainbow Eucalyptus would make a realllly interesting forest, I think. Especially mixed with Greatwood/Silverwood trees.

    I think that may depend on the variety of slime used in your tool building.
