    I think I've updated the entire main post to the 1.4 version, completed with Recipe's Connected Textures and more updates and changes made.

    The Stone Lamp is a Stone Box Frame with basic glass surrounding a torch if you can imagine that.     If it can work on Pressure Plates it would be good for that reason on SMP - hidden doors. Also if it would work on Invisible Blocks. Where you could walk right through it. Perfect for hidden bases and/or hidden rooms in a base/dungeon/adventure style.
