A thamium pickaxe with repair 1 can survive everything that you normally use it for, besides the bore, of course. Well, every tool/armor in thaumcraft can survive with repair 1 (unless in the nether or end) besides, in my opinion, the wand of equal trade, with that one be careful.

You can also max enchant a diamond pick, and every time you want to repair it, you rename it and it will be pretty cheap. But in any case is a waste of diamonds and time, I use elemental tools/hand (power tool)
