1.8: what is holding you back?

Well McJtyLib is also usable for other people. Nobody has done that yet as far as I know but there has been some interest already.

1.8: what is holding you back?

Well depends on how many mods use mcjtylib. In 1.7.10 that's only two (rftools and deep resonance). But on 1.8.9 it is three (rftools dimensions) and on 1.9 it will be at least four (XNet). Also it means that if there is a bug there I only have to fix it once and not in four different mods.

1.8: what is holding you back?

Not all of those so-called library or core mods are really core mods. For example McJtyLib is not a core mod. It is in fact not even a mod. Just a collection of java tools that I find useful in most of my mods. So it helps with sharing code between multiple of my mods.

1.8: what is holding you back?

I have no experience with 1.9 yet (just started porting to it) but for me 1.8 performance is way better then 1.7 performance (even with CoFHTweaks or FastCraft on 1.7)

1.8: what is holding you back?

Well if it is a low tech magic pack where you didn't add RFTools then should you add AE to that (if it existed)? AE is about as techy as you can go. Really doesn't fit the magic theme IMHO

1.8: what is holding you back?

    A) you should try something different from time to time. It is refreshing. B) AE2 is being ported

1.8: what is holding you back?

Yes that's solved by forge extensions to the json format. In fact, many things got easier/smaller now in 1.8. Forge did a great job extending the json format that was added by vanilla.

1.8: what is holding you back?

Yes, but Vasa was asking how long it will take them to transfer to 1.8. Not very long since they have already done it/are busy doing it.

1.8: what is holding you back?

ExtraUtilities and Immersive Engineering are already ported to 1.8. I'm using them on the ForgeCraft server (1.8.9). However they are not publicly available right now.
