    [1.6.4] AnomalyCraft Lite (Casual)

V1.0.1 (First beta) Details can also be found on the website, including links to mods. Description This modpack's main focus is a balance between Vanilla Minecraft and modded content. Basically: nothing is too complicated to make or understand and nothing is too overpowered. The modpack is...

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

Noted. It just doesn't really make much of a difference towards my choice to use the mod for more than just barrels.

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

As I stated earlier, I am keeping FZ in for other reasons. In the end, I could always utilize MineTweaker to disable FZ barrels and force people to use JABBA. Similarly, I could disable FZ's routers. For now, I choose to keep them in, because leaving them out would only make things harder, not...

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

I have EnderStorage installed, so I believe the answer would be yes.

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

What I'm saying is that these two results differ: The left is different factorization barrels. The right is what you get if you were to retexture JABBA barrels. All the same.

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

But then you'd still have only one different barrel at a time. You might as well use resource packs at that point.

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

The way FZ barrels work is that they have NBT tags for the side and top textures. They are automatically set to what you crafted them with.

    Carpenter's Blocks and non-vanilla blocks = ?

Well, it's mainly with TiC blocks. Some of them just don't work. EDIT: Also Natura btw.

    Carpenter's Blocks and non-vanilla blocks = ?

I don't think that's completely true. It accepts a lot, even some that are non-vanilla, but there are some blocks of which I am pretty sure that they're not tile entities, and they don't work while I'd want them to. That's why I want to be able to configure this. Untrue. Just tested it, works...

    Carpenter's Blocks and non-vanilla blocks = ?

I just added Carpenter's Blocks to a modpack I'm making, and I wonder if there's a way to make it recognise blocks that are non-vanilla. I've looked for a way to do this but I haven't found it. Does anyone here know whether it's possible or whether there's an addon which allows for it?

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

I read the last two pages of this thread just now, and it seems to be all about FZ just generally being useless and therefore JABBA being better. However, it's not the functionality of other parts of FZ that we're trying to discuss here. I agree that FZ is altogether a bit obsolete, but my...

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

Thanks for all the different viewpoints, everyone. I think I've made a decision.

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

Emphasis mine. While I agree that it may be easier to work with, I also understand the idea of why it won't work with Factorization. After all, one usually fills a barrel from the top, not from the sides. As for cleaner designs, as a person who has programming as their hobby, I'm of the opinion...

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

What's with this hatred for FZ? The concept of the barrels remains the same. Please enlighten me as to why it is so insufferable. I see. I may consider not using JABBA in that case. I'm using Factorization for other stuff. I can add JABBA and do some stuff with MineTweaker to disable FZ...

    Barrels: JABBA vs. Factorization

I'm creating a modpack, and I'd really like to know people's opinions on which one is superior. For example, I don't think JABBA has hopping barrels. However, Factorization does not have the -fork. So, what's your opinion?

RE: Agrarian Skies - Is having access to a "vanilla" nether normal?

I didn't think of that. I suppose a command is excusable enough in that situation.

RE: Agrarian Skies - Is having access to a "vanilla" nether normal?

I wouldn't call it unplayable, because it doesn't happen without the player making a mistake. On top of that, if you prepared yourself properly you'll be able to redeem yourself. If not, well, that's what hardcore is about.

RE: Agrarian Skies - Is having access to a "vanilla" nether normal?

No offence, but using commands sort of defeats the purpose.

Question about multiplayer and third party modpacks

I know, that's no problem. It's just nice to have an acknowledged platform to publish it to, so a big-time thank you to all the people who make third-party packs possible.
