Just found out something really neat that can help early game: liquid glass obtained in a smeltery, when placed in the world, sets mobs on fire. It does 4 hitpoints each time it hurts a mob (at least sheep) so it's pretty nice.

Could you enable the Random Things' block breaker then? I think it is the one that respects mining levels to a degree (it needs an upgrade to mine obsidian) but I could be mistaken. Otherwise I'd only be able to make my free obsidian generator later in the game, probably using MFR machines.

To anyone who might be thinking about relocating permanently to the spirit world and using enhanced portals to get in and out: don't do it. If you get in any way other than using a brew of sleeping, the game sometimes crashes. When it doesn't, you usually get a nightmare, not a dream.

What about the MFR unifier? I think it also works well for that purpose.

Follow up on the skeleton spawner in the nether: I moved one of the skeleton spawners from a roguelike dungeon to the nether, but it will only spawn skeletons from the Special Mobs mod. I'm guessing my best bet is really the wither skeleton seeds. Now to make a quarry-like complex spell with...

I can't even find a fortress. I tried to move a skeleton spawner to the nether with teleposers, but it didn't work. I'm going to fight a wither to get a star and craft the MFR device that moves spawners. Then I'll move the spawner to the nether and it should spawn wither skeletons.

Looking at the code: Nether metals reference: Effects handler: What I understand is that it should give mobs the Withering effect, which you can check in the Damage Indicators tooltip after hitting a mob with a Sanguinite tool or weapon.

In ExtraTiC Kalendrite and Midasium don't have an effect implemented in this version. Amordrine does though, and it heals you really well.

I have found 2 Adamantine Ore in all my Spirit World Mining. My plan is to make a complex spell from Blood Magic to mine huge areas of land at once, brute force style. If you don't know about them, check out PurpleMentat's videos on youtube about it.

You can bring Mutandis with you when travelling into the Spirit World.

I managed to find some cotton while in the dark. Looking in the dynamic lights configs, I don't think there's anything you can get easily to provide light. :/
