Ecological will repair tools if they are anywhere in your inventory not just in your hotbar

there is the easy way and the more correct way the easy way is two config options at the bottom of the config allow all tools/allow all blocks don't ask me about the correct way I've never bothered with it

I myself like it when the lower tier item is used in the recipe to make the higher tier one. Then you don't have some obsolete items taking up room in a chest somewhere(Pack Rat here) and it can be seen as you actually just upgrading the old item(swapping out parts and stuff)

if this ends up being true you should have the last few be weapons and armor so they are geared up enough to fight them off

if you need Nickel you should be Pulverizing Iron Ore you have a chance to get Nickel as a secondary result
