Get rid of water source blocks(Direwolf20)

Is there a fast way of getting rid of a lot of water source blocks in the Direwolf20 pack? I need to drain part of a large lake. Thanks.

Minecraft sponge should do the trick.

@zurandis The Actually Additions Ring of Liquid Banning should do the trick, although it may not be within your range of ability...

The pump from Immersive Engineering can place cobble when it sucks up liquids. (might need to whack it with a hammer)
