    Can affirm, happens to me all the time. EDIT: Updating SimplyJetpacks to 0.3.0.0 fixes this problem, as there is a new config option to disable mobs' using of jetpacks.

    I am playing SSP, which may be the problem; There was around 100 buckets of lava in the tank; I have enabled BoP, PowerCoverters, and NetherOres.

    Not Tier 5 Spawners. Monsters from these don't despawn even if no one is nearby.
