I'm just curious about the filler, didn't they change it so blocks were instantly deleted when they popped out? I ran the filler recently and all the blocks were just lying around on the ground. I'd prefer if it deleted the blocks instead of putting a strain on the server and/or my computer...

It depends on the rng of finding diamonds for me. It could take a few hours or days to progress to other ways of mining beside manual. Especially if you're using ic2ex with the new mfe recipe. The problem I have with ic2 is that I'm using it less every time. Other mods just does things better...

I've run around mining at level 12 for about a day now and all I've got is 4 diamonds(lol). In a previous game a few weeks back, I had over 20 diamonds after a couple of hours. That's rng for you.
