Ban an item/block

Someone actually managed to defeat the dragon without ever using a 3x3 crafting grid. It's on youtube somewhere.

You can find picks in blacksmith chests. You can get bows from mobs, and repair them. Arrows from mobs. Swords from chests (maybe not common).

Ban all items and blocks? Be serious.

I ban Cobblestone.

ok. i find steel stuff in a dungeon, and continue onwards to diamonds

no sticks of an kind
 
FYI iron caps I THINK os iron wandcaps from thaumcraft, but im not sire.

No sticks? Meh. Loot


I ban dirt and all animal mob drops (so hostiles are ok. Remember, survival is not tasty)

That glowey XYcraft soil stuff which doesn't actually contain dirt. Find melon seeds in abandoned mines, saplings in villager chests.

Now I kick the bucket.
 
I'll move to an ocean biome, and place dirt accordingly, I'll swear off lava until I can make a pump of sorts and move liquids via tanks and fluiducts.
(and I mean't iron caps as in thaumcraft wand caps... NO THAUMCRAFT FO YOU!)

No glowstone.... Heh heh heh...
 
I'll live on a plain of halfslabs. No weapons, and multiplied mobspawns don't mean a thing if they can't spawn.

No paper.
 
I find thaumonomonomonomicon as chest loot and put thaumcraft on easy mode. Break villagers and stronghold bookshelves for books.

No wood (precirsor to TiC maybe?)
 
I don't think I've ever used black glass, so that won't affect my game any.

No chests
 
You gotta say what you would do to get around the previous limitation :)

No paper...well I pretty much always forgot to start enchanting and don't use mystcraft that much...so don't normally require books that often. Will have to just hope for some decent weapon/armor drops from mobs :D

No Iron ingots allowed.

Oh, okay; sorry:

Damn; I guess I'll have to use steel!

No grass (Not as in blocks, as decoration!)
