I'm trying to set up a Blood Magic Ritual of Magnetism. I cannot understand the mechanism of feeding reagents. I'm trying (emphasisi on "trying") to get it to work through relays like this

I'm using relays, because if I use direct connections, by the time I link the second belljar, the Master Ritual Stone (henceforth called MRS) is already capped with 1 reagent... This isn't my main question, but if someone can answer how to properly setup some relays, that would be the icing on the cake.

Now, the issue (cake) is that I, by some stroke of luck, got 2 reagents on the MRS (Orbis Terrae and Terrae, according to the wiki) to get me an increase of the mined area to 31x31. But only one reagent is being consumed. Wat?

Edit: scratch that; it's working as intended. I made the connection of 1 belljar directl, while the other is using the relay. WAI. Just need to understand the relay better.

Edit 2: ok, this is pissing me off, the MRS fills instantaneously with 1 reagent rather 2:3... This means I need advice/help. Disregard edit #1.

Edit 3: I seemed to have found that I need to compromise and use 2 relays. Any alternatives?

Is there a way to switch the Thermal Expansion covers in place? Or at least remove only one cover? If I wrench or pick a covered duct, the entire duct, as well as all the covers, come off.

Rather than shift clicking, try just r-click with the wrench. Works that way for filters, so covers may work the same.

did u segment the master ritual stone's tanks so each regent has only 1 tank partioned to it , like using the alchemic segmenter to set 1 MRS tank to terrie 1 to orbis terie 1 to potenia . doing this will ensure the MRS will only ever have 1 tank full of any of the 3 regents (of course u dont wanna segment the MRS for the convulation of the damned ) a relay can only transmit 2 regent yes ,i do remeber a direwolf20 video where he was using that ritual for mining with regent too
he did both the ritual of the crusher and the ritual of magnetisim

u could try directly connecting the 3rd jar to the MRS, AFTER segmenting the MRS

What are all the ways to increase your health?

Botania, Tinker's have one. I consider TC's Runic Shielding a way to increase your health. Withcery's werewolf thing can, I believe. Other methods?
ChromatiCraft has an ability that puts you up to 30 health, methinks.

Did not know you could partition. I'll try it once I'm home.

But I still couldn't manage to, even though it had 2 reagents in the MRS, have it consume both to get a 31x31 area. It would just take 1 (can't remember which, at the moment).

Edit: THANK YOU!!!! The segmenter was the answer!

Ok, I'm very late to the party, as I've only recently lreaned how powerful Steve's Factory Manager is. That being said, I suck at logic, apparently.

Can Steve's Factory Manager check for a condition before it activates a trigger? Without the condition checking having a trigger, I mean. I'm trying to automate my Blood altar based on what item it has on a chest. If it has a blank slate, for example. and at least 2k essence then it throws it into the altar and draws the output.

Now the problem is, if this is in the same tree. Taking the previous example, a blank slate is transmuting into the altar. In the same logic tree I have it set to "if stone and at least 1k essence, pump stone, pump out blank slate". Now since I have more than 1k, it detects a blank slate (which is supposed to be there because it cleared the "2k essence" condition) and takes it out before it transmutes. I did a workaround with a redstone reciever and levers associated with different trees and different conditions, so I just need to flip the lever I want.

Is it possible to do it with a single tree and no redstone switch.

I can't remember if SFM can check liquid container, but if it can:
If altar is 1/5th full, or more (2k essence without upgrades) AND if chest has item send item into a barrel (locked barrel with items that can go in the altar.
Then have the barrel get pulled from and sent into the altar

It can, indeed, check for liquids. When you say to get item pulled from chest, do you mean using the Manager or something else, like an itemduct?

Edit: words

You use the manager to put it into a barrel, and then an itemduct pull from the barrel.

Reason being:
SFM will do the logic; making sure there's enough LP in the altar before anything can go into the altar from the chest.
Then the barrel will ensure that the item going is is what you want, and not some other random item in the chest.
Then you automate the altar afterwards

How does one typically install a hungry node into their base? I just got one, I hadn't done so before.

I've considered placing it closish to my wand-recharge area, encasing it in a tall tube of obsidian, and dropping crafting tables from above whatever the damn thing's range is, but I dislike the idea of getting tugged around when I wander to close to it.

Most just feed it where they found it, as when the node grows from eating, it's area of effect grows. Place it further away than you think you need it to be. Be ready with bottles of taint, and the taint biome reversing flowers.

Or be ready to make it an energized node

I've read that the area of effect doesn't actually grow when the node grows. Is this a for-sure thing? Perhaps my reddit source was too ancient.

From what I'm reading here, I can probably install it at an "edge" of my base where it can still affect a recharge pedestal but not annoy me.

I don't have empirical evidence that the AoE grows as the node does, but my set up to feed my hungry node had to be moved at least once because it ate my item cannon from a distance that was safe before it grew... Maybe I'm wrong.

You can try to be quick and not taint the node first, but I was way too chicken to try that, as my designated place for it was right smack dab in the middle of all my thaumcraft stuff....

Is there a mod out there that causes cows and other passive wildlife to exhibit the same horde behaviour as Zombies?

Just curious...
