Looks pretty cool might give it some time though since i got another 20 mods to get use to xD but besides that glad to see you doing mods again :)

I must admit that I mentally facepalmed that the first item in a mod of 'magical swag' is a handgun, but it all sounds pretty interesting. Though currently I'm pretty busy with everything else in the Magic World pack.

You're working to bring the Casull to Minecraft. I think that's magical in its own way? =)

It looks like glowstone is a very important resource in this mod. I guess it's a good thing that glowstone isn't too plentiful and can only be gathered by braving the Nether, as that keeps the mod balanced.

BRB, just stepping into my Mystcraft age with single flat meadow, eternal day, and glowstone tendrils...

It's not a huge deal getting glowstone once you get alkahestry, you can grow the stuff. It's a great deal slower than just finding the stuff, but you can set up a bunch of altars in the sun, feed them redstone and convert it back to redstone for a SLIGHT profit. It takes 3-5 full minecraft days to get a block, so progress is slow. Profits more substantial with a fortune pick.

What I'm saying is that with Mystcraft it's incredibly easy to make a danger-free world with glowstone pretty much everywhere, such that making altars seems hardly worth it. I think I may need to install this mod just to have a way to use a fraction of it up :D

Just installed this mod, reading the topic. After realizing I can get free glowstone (although I have quite good demonic bee line free stuff is always great ;)), I rushed to my chests and quickly crafted Altar of Alkahestry (or 4). After that I placed it in my world, tried feeding them with redstone and ... crash. To know for sure who to blame, I replicated it in a fresh instance just with Forge (445) and XR (1.0.2 ofc). thanks, let me take a look at it! I'm about to post a small update with some changes pretty soon here.

EDIT: Found the issue, I'm going to need to make several important changes all across the mod, because I implemented a method wrong. Thanks for the bug report. :D

Alright, 1.0.3 is posted, it should include that bug, fixed, along with some other neat additions. Fun stuff, I hope, a couple of balance tweaks and an overhaul of Alkahestry (which I'm pretty sure nobody intends to use, but whatever, options are cool) and the potion system (which I intend to use the crap out of, I dunno about anyone else).

Anyhow, I still don't have a recipe page or anything fancy like that. I may start taking recipe pictures soon, just to have something nice to look at.
