Will recognised users of the forum have special titles?

Was just wondering, will recognised users who register here (once verified) get special titles such as "Developer" or "Streamer" or "Youtuber" of sort?

Some forums take this into consideration, including a reputation system, so it was just one of the few things that crossed my mind.

For general posters rank is based on post count, as you post you rank up. Then there are the 'special' ranks that denote things like Mod Developer and Youtuber. For the rank of developer that would go on a case by case basis, but essentially is is someone that is actively maintaining or developing a mod. It is not someone who created a mod that added a couple of ores and tools 6 minths ago.

For youtuber its the same kind of deal. We would essentially be looking for people who are consistently posting videos etc and would looked on, on a case by case basis. These ranks are by no means intended to be permanent. If someone stops posting videos for instance, The rank would be removed. I will go more into ranks over the following week as i get everything more fleshed out.

Hmmm. Interesting thought, really. I think that some sort of title system would be nice, but you would need to take into account things such as whether they are active, and reputation would be a major think needed for consideration.

All in all, it would be a good idea, but some planning would need to be considered. Verification might take some effort, either via youtube or the MC forums.

i dont think you would need an certain amount of subs, you should just post atleast 4 vids a week for example.

amout of subs not really that important, but quality, reliability, and enjoyabily of the viewers should be what it goes by.

i do you really ant a person that would bash the pack all the time or one that just says hey heres the issue and they are or are not working on a fix. nor do you want one who goes well i like to troll so here is all the place i like to destoy and 70% of his vids are him trolling.

Does better ranks have better permissions? I'm not talking about like mod permissions but maybe a higher rank may use HTML code or something?

I like the idea of post-based ranks (they're fun, and it's kinda cool to see how many posts people have), but I'd like to have different tags for those integrated in the FTB team (modders whose mods are in the pack, for example). Doing so is rather helpful when looking for 'official' answers instead of many users answering a question based on what they're guessing.

well it takes time until everyone has an different rank, so then it'l be fun to see alot of different ranks

It will be interesting to see how this website uses the rank system not as a showing off feature but has a purpose. BTW how many ranks are there at the moment and is it harder to get the rank above??
