What was so uncool or unacceptable about asking to see Skyblock screenshots?

I could not get one single person to respond with a yes, no or maybe. The silence on such an issue which was not out of line by any means is way more insulting than you might think.
I am willing to change what I post and how I ask, but if you people are going to be snobs, then tell me now so I can stop wasting my time.

I do not understand the lack of response by members/visitors to your forum. I give days when I can to my posts, before drawing conclusions. I do not like being ignored. I do not deliberately do things to encourage being ignored, so rather than say or do anything else which seems to be inappropriate by the unknown standards of those not talking, I am requesting my account be deleted.
Also I recently had an argument with OvermindDL1, who has been a long time friend of nearly 20 years, the issue is beside the point for the moment, except to say I have no idea why he turned on me and hope it is temporary. He may have poisoned some of the members here just to be spiteful.
Please delete my account, as I have no desire to be the cause of trouble.

As for skyblocks, there are tons of pics/posts everywhere. Why not just go look in those(and contribute!) instead of making yet another "post your pictures" thread. If that is what you did, then I think that is why it was ignored.

Personally I loathe skyblocks and simply ignore all the threads that have anything to do with those kind of things(which is a lot these days when it is the only thing FTB really produces...).

@deadscion You posted a request for pictures in a forum where generally people showcase their own builds. Possibly the audience there isn't what you were after.

Ahh maybe that was slightly confusingly phrased What I meant to say was that all sails seem to be set on this single Infinity franchise(granted I hope some work is being done on 1.8-1.9 packs).

The point is I posted a thread requesting Skyblock screenshots in the Community Showcase. After a total of 4 days( give or take) and 36 reads, not one person took the time to tell me any this posted here, until I said something in general chat.
The point is, if I had been doing something wrong, (for whatever reason of unawareness) somebody in all those readers should have said something instead of staying silent. Did they laugh at me behind my back?
For a while I was very impressed with FTB and considering a donation to the cause. Now, you are just another forum with a disrespectful young membership.

Man, you are seriously overreacting here.

You wrote one topic and people were not immediately(4 days and 36 views lol? ) interested in it. Grow up and get over it! There are ups and downs in activity on this forum. And the showcase section is not the most visited section.

You cannot expect that everyone go into threads that do not interest them or are relevant to them and all post "this does not interest or is relevant to me"...

Also use some common sense when making a topic. If all you do is "people post here, I cannot be bothered to look around for stuff that is already available all over" (like ALL over the Showcase section, General and on Reddit), then people are not going to be interested. If you want to start a "show off your skyblock bases" thread, then the first thing you want to do is contribute something your self to get the ball rolling.

I wasn't going to post anything in this topic because it doesn't interest me that much but apparently that's disrespectful.

You're requesting something from the community and throw a fit when you don't get it? I would understand if it was a huge contribution and you were looking for acknowledgement. I guess you are just too wildly popular to accept the fact that some topics will have 0 replies. Personally, I wouldn't lose sleep over it.

I'll admit I was one of the silent viewers of your topic. I'm not playing the pack in question, but I enjoy seeing pictures of people's creations. I also have a bit of OCD which makes me read (or at least scan) each new post in the General and Community Showcase areas. I know you had mentioned in a thread that you started a thread with pics of your world then removed it due to lack of interest. It so happened that I was interested in this, but my In-laws were in town. You had removed the thread before my free time opened up again. Be patient. Some of us are regulars, but most stop in once a week or less.

Honestly, I doubt anyone was intentionally trying to snub you. There are times when these forums go completely silent for days, then others when there is a flurry of activity. I've noticed that the Community Showcase in particular suffers this wave. Sometimes even the best thread gets buried/forgotten. Sometimes the people who are interested in a thread have Real Life to deal with. Other times nobody is interested at all (not saying this is the case with yours, but a ton of single digit post threads come and go).

I can't tell you how many times I've started a thread that I thought had the chance to be the next "What cool thing have you learned today?", only to have 20 views and only one response. Shit happens. Brush it off and move on. Or don't. Totally your call. But if you let one no-response thread cloud your entire experience here, you're missing out on the other great things these forums contain.

I rarely view the showcase section. I dislike "Expert" mode as a concept so I avoid all content associated with it.

But this thread amuses me. I've not seen this type of illogical rage outside of Imgur or Tumblr. It's the digital equivalent of the kid who yells at everyone on the basketball court because they won't play hopscotch.

All of humanity is over entitled, we've evolved to become that way. We always want more than we can get and more then we deserve it's why we have achieved so much in comparison to the rest of the animal kingdom. Despite that we still try to get better and that things should be better. /anaside...
