I am currently working on detailed tutorial for Thaumcraft and thaumcraft add-ons and at this time I am about 35% done. Series turned out reasonably popular and I would like my channel to specialise in this kind of videos. I would like to continue with videos dedicated to other mods when I am done with this series. What mods in your opinion need good detiled series dedicated to them? I am interested in something that people are actually using or is fairly popular but complicated, I don't want mods that only a handful of pwople ever uses.
Can you please let me know what you would like to see and I will consider doing tutorials on specific mod after I feel I mastered it efficiently.

At this moment in time I am cconsidering doing similar videos on Ars Magic, Blood Magic and Botania ( when it leaves beta) From technical mods I was thinking about short series on tinker construct and Applied Energestics (when I become a litle bit more confident with this).

Also if you think this kind of series is not needed please share with me why.

PS: Feel free to check my videos in my ssignature so you know what sort of detiles I am talking about.

Blood Magic really needs this kind of Tutorial.
Ahem! You realize that @Padfoote has created a a perfectly good and excellently detailed guide to Blood Magic. I doubt watching 10 min videos is better than reading. You know it is scientifically proven that reading something instead of watching it is more memorable.

Anyway, apart from that. Welcome to the forums! :)

His guide is nice, but it's outdated. There are already more rituals and there is a new spell conduit system for which I haven't seen any documentation so far.

Anyway, what about RotaryCraft or ReactorCraft?

That may be true, but it is still the best beginners guide to follow for Blood Magic. If he wanted maybe he could make an advanced guide, though his is already quite advanced!

If we want to be all scienientific and that are you of different models of learning that sugest some people are better to learn by listening and others would rather see the thing than read about is as they lack ability to envision 3d representation of what they read? Anyway I have read tutorial and it is great but people reading this forums aren't the only one playing FTB and moded minecraft. Youtube is a great medium and ai am I am intending to make vidoes on it in my opinion 2 tutorals writen and video complement each other rather than competite

I appreciate your point of view but I did not at any point say that everyone else should have the same opinion as me, I don't mind video tutorials, but I myself prefer a written guide at times.

of course you are entitled to your opinion I was just refering to the scientific bit about writen being better than video. as to how many post each of us has I have nothing to say as number of post doesn't make person wrong or right.

There is a thread on this forum called "I don't understand bees". That may be a hint about where in-depth tutorials might be needed.
Actually Tyler (@OlexaKid64 ) is doing one currently, so it may be a better idea to focus on something else like reactor/rotary or blood magic. It will help users understand more mods so that more users can understand more mods :)

Anyways, a guide for something like Blood Magic is a great idea! I know for sure people like to look up videos instead of guides when they are new (when I was new to modding I did this.) and there are some people who just like videos more or cannot understand something so they consult a video. Great idea IMHO as long as you keep it updated if a core concept or mechanic was changed in the mod or a reasonable amount of new features added. :)

of course I will keep my series updated to the lates stable version of a mod. I am hoping that with time my channel will become go to destination for people if they strugle with something as with short vide it is easy to find what you want rather that watch through entire mod spotlight or let's play to find out.

I'm going to go back on topic now and say that i've just recently gotten into Rotarycraft/Reactorcraft and have no clue what i'm doing. Most tutorials i've found on youtube have just been "this is what this machine does." I'd love a good in depth tutorial.

Blood Magic has, in my opinion, several good videos covering it already. @Ako_the_Builder has covered it a few times, and @Vaygrim is currently covering it by tier. I know @Bevo covered it a little bit before, and I believe he's doing it again with his Agrarian Skies play through.

On topic though, I vote for RotaryCraft and its addons. ReactorCraft is a great mod, but very few people understand it. And after the magnetostatic changes in RotaryCraft, people are lost because they never learned how to actually use the mod without the magnetostatics.

Edit: Let's stop the pointless arguing, alright? It gets annoying and takes away from the topic of the thread.

Unnecessary content in the thread has been deleted so the thread may get back on track.

I actually do appreciate people who realize they've made offensive content and self-moderate it out before I have to get to it. What's better is self-moderating before you hit the Enter key, though (heavens knows I do that early and often some days). Remember, folks, we have a certain standard of conduct hereabouts. =)

(Weighing in personally, I'm more of a pictures-and-text guy versus a video guy and wish there were more guides out there like Padfoote's for Blood Magic, which I've consulted fairly regularly. Tastes differ, however. De gustibus non est disputandum.)
