What is this block

Can someone tell me what this block is and what tool i need to harvest it? This is on the 1.5.2 pack without GT.

Looks like a bee hive.

It's a TC Crystal ore.
You can mine it with anything but wooden.

I tried mining it first with an Alumite pickaxe and then with a Manyullyn pickaxe both times the block was slow to mine and was destroyed.

It's a bee hive from Magic Bees, a bit rare. Use a scoop and you're good.

Maybe Thaumcraft doesn't like TConstruct in this version.
Try a regular Iron Pick.[DOUBLEPOST=1372124194][/DOUBLEPOST]

I should have noted that i am using the Faithful 32 pack, I'll try a scoop. Thanks for the quick replies.

Indeed. It's usually surrounded by redstone. And I can't remember the bee that drops, it begins with "a" though.

yes I have no idea why you think its a crystal core.

It was most likely covered in redstone. And you can clearly see the tell tail bands and hive opening.

Does not matter in this case that is the defult texture for that hive. I have found a few myself mining.

Wow, so it looks weird on purpose. LOL. It still looks like a hive to me. I haven't encountered one just yet. I've just begun hand mining again as my consumption of quartz has increased drastically.

It's supposed to be a incognito hive pretending to be redstone. Clever bees.
