If I can't deal with the SMP being offline, I usually end up doing stuff like this or this or this. Apart of that, Youtube or a good book. And coffee. Lots of coffee. =)
No. No, you don't. Trust me. I've bought it. Unless something changed major within the last few weeks, it gets repetitive and boring within the third hour of play. Even earlier. This depends on one single thing: How fast do you grasp the "survival" concept of Don't Starve. Once you get the literal hang of it, the game is "Do shtuff A. Then do shtuff B. Then C. D. E. Rewind and repeat." I was expecting a bit more, I'm afraid. The first few hours were fun - but after a certain point, there's only that much "fluff" things you can build and still be entertained without something new to do. Save that money. :-/
