About abilities, If there are abilities that some of the pokes have in this game. Its probbably one of the abilities it will be able to get in the game.
Some pokemon will get custom abilities they normally woudn't get, And some will just not get a few of their originals

Just to clarify
So yes @SpwnX
they will, It will be a huge list
but everyone can have 2/3 abilities (some 4 cause mega evolution) to get picked from (one of these will be randomly picked like normal roles)

edit: Im a bit confusing in my quote, i ment to say:
The abilities that pokemon get in the normal game, will probbably also be for the pokemon in this WW game

there are some custom once

I submitted a thing earlier but didn't say anything about it here.

As much as I wanted to go for Deerling or Stantler, I chose Aerodactyl for kicks. Giant flying mega-dinosaur trumps deer every day.

Wow guys, after the cascade of arachnid alts, I haven't had a laugh this good in years.
I love this place :p

As for pokemon, hmm... Never played any of the games, and I don't know much about them. However, I have a friend who played them a lot on the bus to and from school field trips who let me watch over his shoulder, so I shall claim Dialga, the first pokemon to come to mind.

Interested to see what sort of roles/abilities I get. Based on a probably-faulty at-least-half-decade-old memory of a one-hit-kill-if-it-doesn't-miss "Roar of Time" move, I'm guessing some sort of coinflip Hunter ability. Granted, Dialga (really hoping I spelled that right) is probably legendary (a final boss?) and therefore nerfed, but Hunters are common enough in games of Werewolf... @dylanpiera, thoughts?

Soooo... question, @Shazam08. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but:
  • The creators of all these alts (I'm looking at you, doppelganger) each used an email address to sign up for the forum.
  • The only method a GM has of securing unique access to an alt is by giving out the password to one user.
  • The alts are still registered to their original email address.
  • When a user is subscribed to a forum, email notifications will be sent if the alt hasn't set up their notifications properly.
Would the original creator of an alt that is being used by another player be able to get emails regarding "secret" info when the alt is involved in a discussion/convo?

Good question! I made sure to turn off the email notifications for every alt (under "Contact Details"), and I'll doublecheck all the new ones I hand out for Ayrewolf. Should be fine, provided the alt's recipient doesn't have a stroke of "brilliance" and re-enables the thing.

Of course, it's an unfair advantage to be constantly updated on the comings and goings of alts, so for the love of God tell me if that's happening. It shouldn't, but on the off chance something goes wrong I want to fix it as soon as possible.

Nice. Second question. If I wanted to make an alt to provide for the game, I'd have to set up a second email account, right?

By my reasoning, all these things are probably true, but I'll give Shazam the final word. (And then he ninjas me. Great!)

I actually had a idea for a game in which each player creates an alt, and the GM shuffles them around on Day 1 for another player to use. Players would be encouraged to exploit exactly the things you've mentioned, meaning that anything and everything each player does is revealed to another player, chosen randomly at the start of the game. Could this work, or would it catastrophically explode in my face?

You could keep the creators of the alts from having such a stroke of "brilliance" by changing the alts' passwords before each game they're used in, if you don't already. Except password recovery is a thing, and uses the email address. Hmm.

Is there a way to change the email associated with the account?

Hmmmm...I have an idea. We create a email thing. That will only accept the first email sent to an alt email. Then we don't have to worry about it, as the first email should be the account confirm thingy

Can't you use 10-minute mail thingy? the disposable emails for such stuffs.

I'll try using such brilliant tool once i ever decide to go on with such idea of creating over 25 alts for the sake of this weird thing and i know that this sentence is uselessly long for absolutely no reason.

Yeah, you would, which is the main reason I don't have a personal army by now.

It'd be a lot of work for you and the players by incorporating the email thing into it, but it's a cool concept. I'd play it if you ran it.

The passwords are indeed switched around between games, so you can't steal a doppelganger in Ayrewolf because you happened to be a Medium in Firelight.

Password recovery would be a problem if people were jerks. And stupid. It'd be immediately apparent that the original owner hijacked the account because the password would be different, so the alt's user and I couldn't log in to it anymore. Given the number of people that could reset the password, it wouldn't be too difficult.

Yep! But since you can only hook up one account to one email, it'd be a fairly large task for me to convert them all. I'll do it if it ever becomes a problem, but until then... Bleh.
