Vineacraft: Hiatus (Not dead)

Ok, im dropping from modjam.
There are a few reasons, i want make antiqua later on and a good mod, i wont be able to do what i want in this time(i have some big plans), i dont think this is the best learning experience :c, watching how others code i think could be better. and alot more reasons.
So im just going to drop, and watch from the standlines making vineacraft!

Antiqua wont be for a good few months.


Your the modder, it's your mod, good luck with coding/

If anyone is interested, ChickenBones being the god programmer he is made CCC now let you run mods that aren't compiled in a dev environment, that includes NEI, as you can see Vineacraft is recognised by it!
Having some problems with fluids, but i can more than likely get a fluid done to a decent extent with in the next few days.
Will work on textures tonight or tomorrow!

Great, added some textures into vineacraft, added hardness to blocks also.
I suggest that you give @Steves_carts tweets saying thank you ^^

Also going to start putting up reddit posts soon!

Small update, massive thanks to WayOfTime (Author of the great blood magic mod!)
He helped fix a bug that has been plaguing me for awhile, just i added a extra 0 xD)

Having some problems with fluids, just need to ask around in #minecraftforge later on.

And for the people who have been talking with me, i have been saying something about writing the mod in scala, im not going to, antiqua though on the other hand i may try it out. Who knows!

Also, im having a really nice turtle beach headset coming within the new few days, expect lots of streaming and dev diaries! (The dev diaries on youtube)

Just a small update:

So i tried de-obfusicating vineacraft, pretty much this turns the java files into classes, which is what is read for minecraft in simple terms.
I installed it into my client, and it worked.
Had a few problems with textures, but i can fix that.

Also, i got a great new idea for a mod, this mod will again not come out till vineacraft is in a good standard, but i want it to be "kinda like" natura and tconstruct, being the natura.
More info for that will be coming when vineacraft comes to a decent point :3

I havent been coding much the last few days, but i will be doing alot more coding within the next few days!

EDIT: Anyways, i had an idea about making machine blocks in your mod. How about "growing" them?
What i mean you could eg. make a "Vine growth infuser" by surrounding bone meal with 8 vines. You then use it on a block of wood. For a short period of time vines grow on the block (using texture swap), until you get your machine block.

How about everything needs a little bit of time to grow, bonemeal, and water.

I REALLY like that idea, i may end up using that :3
To get into the basics it was kinda dull, vines + sticks is just.... boring :3

On an actual note : how is the growth of the 'machine blocks' going to be, like 1 tile pumpkins or something?

It should be a machine which look like a vine, and the block grows like a fruit, gradually getting bigger like a cocoa bean.

Later on i may make it take longer, like over a few mins.
I want to do things whats fun, if it takes ages to wait then you are wasting time having fun :D

héhehe I like modding but I'm just in the very early steps (I mean very early) but I like this and because your mod is open source I peek in it multiple times, and it's fun!
