Vines are a main component, but the basic machines are made by binding sticks with vines.

Haven't you read the article? Bamboo Technology means something complex was made out of simple materials, such as plants, cardboard boxes and scrap, not literal bamboos (but bamboos can be used).

I would use it. I doon't think it would be fun enougt yet. But I think it's Kinda Balance as long as you use coal or things like that in the "second tier" squeezer.

I would play it, but the structure isn't quite reinforced yet, you kind of need to plan out everything before you start on it...

Small update
I really should make a special thread just for these one day.

I'm learning techne atm, there is a model under if you wanna see (it was a creeper at first) going to also learn to texture decently.

Ive decided on the main use of vines:
Vines are plentiful, the're not hard to get stacks upon stacks of, vines will NOT be used much in machines, its harder to balance that way.
Vine sap will be the main use of your vines, to keep "balance".
The automatic squeezer will more than likely take UE power, eu and mj or a inventory slot for things you can burn, there will also be a different way to power it, again using fluids, i wont tell you what it is, but look at the source code in github ^^ also, its brown and in some ways to vines.

you`ve said that sap will also be a fuel for your machines, so in this case it has to be self sustainable(and sap positive) after it started, otherwise feeding sap back into machine would look just silly.

Liquid cocoa was what i was thinking, the vineaHarvester would also be able to harvest cocoa, but this is all 100% tentative and may change, vine sap going into a machine that makes vine sap is kinda.... strange.
I feel that Cocoa fits into the picture very well.

well adding another type of fuel wont make any difference. at least i dont see how it would...
have you ever setup a refinery with combustion engine to power it?
its kinda same deal actually: you start engine with oil, and then it keeps running refinery that feeds engine, and produces fuel for use.
since you`ve decided to not invent a wheel yet another power system, there is no engine for squeezer, thus cleanest solution would be bake engine into squeezer itself. however starting a machine with a bucket and forgetting about isnt something that`d call a good design choice, because it doesnt provide any challenge nor gameplay, and nothing more than annoyance.
that`s why said earlier that its easier to just let machine work for no charge.

I need to decide on all of this, configs will allow you to do it without power, vine sap (will be awkard) or cocoa.
I will be testing what i think is best for the automatic squeezer, its a problematic machine.

and what goal cocoa would accomplish? if you add it, there has to be a way to turn it into a liquid, and most obvious choice falls on squeezer, and its same thing again.

i think you need to decide whether or not your mod is dependent on other`s mod power. mfr was dependent a while ago, but it has a generator now. although its still debatable if it mod can sustain its own power needs.

Digifenn, I think liquid cocoa is a great Idea, now you also have a use to Cocoa Beans. I think your machines should also runon liquid cocoa, being this new "source" not as good as Vinesap. Like, if you run out of Vines you can always throw there some cocoa beans while you get some more vines.

Could this help, if you don't have any 'tech mods' installed, let it use wood, or any flammable stuff (except lava because that's akward to ferment with) But it's your mod, you gotta do what you think is the best for the mod.
