Vineacraft: Hiatus (Not dead)

Mmmmh, can you do blocks? I have a idea for the base of a "machine block".
More or less its just sticks going upright being tied together by vines.
And i cant imagine uses for gems at this moment, i plan on having 0 world gen.
Talismans sound interesting, i was thinking about doing vu-do magic, and talismans sound like this could fit in (I mean like strange rituals with burning vines special ways very strange xD)

Gold+Vine balls- Pure Vinteum

Iron+Vine Balls- Rusty vintuem

8Rusty Vinteum + Gold(middle)- 2Pure Vinteum(And it matches with EE!)

1 Pure Vinteum + 4 Rusty Vinteum- Vinteum Talisman.

4 Rusty Vinteum + 1 Iron- Rusty Vinteum Block

4 Pure Vinteum + Diamond- Pure Vinteum Block

1 Vinteum ball+ 3 Rusty Vinteum + 1 Pure vinteum+ 4 stone- Vinteum "Machine" Block

While that is a good "crafting line" i personally do not think it fits the mod, i feel that the cost for vines in that isnt enough and i personally do not think that using minerals is always a good idea in a mod with this design.
There is still plenty of time to decide this though.
Oh, and i wanted to have sticks in the recipe, maybe vines to reinforce the sticks? :D

Ok, your mod, your way.

If you would like to keep my crafting line, with sticks, you just need to add sticks yo the Vine Balls recipe...
 
I've already doubled the textures that I had before. One of them is a 'beam' texture, just like the beams from Ars Magica, except that this one won't be magical and it'll just be a vine. I'm not sure how you would incorporate it but it's there and it should work as a 'beam' texture.

Also, I need to know if you want any special symbols or anything incorporated into the mod. I'm working on the first machine (I'll finish this then get to work on the machine that you requested) and I have the perfect opportunity to incorporate a symbol.

Congrats, your are the first person to ask for a ETA and also to not read the MAQ.

So ill answer this in depth, there is no download link currently, the mod is not 100% implemented yet and more than likely not stable enough and not to mention there is no specific "content" and also 1.6 is right around the corner >.>

2.The pig in the wheel would require a source of power to be added, for beta releases buildcraft will be used, buildcrafts api will be changing in 1.6 and since its nearly out anyways, i thought it would be easier to just wait.
And also, if i did a pig in a wheel i would want it to be done perfectly, a really nice looking multiblock (3x3) and since im no master coder (hell i barely understand half of the stuff im doing) it will not be implimented till atleast the mod is alot more stable and i am more confident.

If you need anymore questions just ask.
(But remember, every second it takes for a question thats 1 second less then i have to code)

Edit: Also i plan on streaming development when im more situated and forge/mcp is ported to 1.6 and i figure out how to update my mod.

It will be a public alpha, but only time will tell if i can get the alpha out in that time.
So yes, if it is out by then feel free to download it and add it into your modpack.

I just now noticed that the block is sort of made out of a green stone. Not sure what you could do to make something hard and green.

EDIT: Seems to have corrupted. Meh. Here's a screenshot instead. Imgur and imageshack don't play nice with small textures anyways.

Anyways, i am VERY grateful for all the support im getting from you and ddgdas9, need to start reading more of that "Java for dummies" book xD

Well, even though you already have one, I thought I might make a texture for Vinium based on the original idea of iron covered in vines. Enjoy. If you like it, a storage block is in the works.

Because if it is, I'm not sure if I still want to make my own...

If I do not make it, I will share all my Ideas here. I have some preatty neat ones...
