Bows dont have to shoot arrows, there are many things you can do.
You just need to think past the norm.

Wrote a basic guide for vineacraft, isnt finished but still.
I know the problems with it.
Nice! I've been waiting for something like this. This thread is a little hard to follow (speaking as a late-comer to the conversation).
Just out of curiosity (I know I saw some mention of a vine-ladder somewhere, but) have you considered creating some sort of deployable vine-bridge? I was thinking it could work a little like the special ability on your chest armour, except instead of pulling you to the block the projectile lands on, it could generate a rope-bridge-like structure between the block it lands on, and where you are standing (as long as they are both on the same axis...no curves/diagonals or incline/declines)
you must like IC2 a lot. right?1 sentence : liquids are fairly useless, and you created a mod to make 1 liquid usefull
I like the mod concept because it is, for lack of a better term, different. It has the attributes that tech mods have, but it goes about it in an entirely different way. That's what makes mods interesting, reaching the same goal, but doing it a entirely different way. Make life interesting and such.
I believe that vine sap should be similar to cobwebs in having a similar effect when place. Seems somewhat logical to me as I always get my hands sticky with pine sap >.<
Like rubber?
My post a few pages ago about what rubber looks like.Well, one may use rubbers for such a thing... teehee...
*Ahem* Indeed, sap...
