Try holding down F3 and pressing S. Wait a while, it should reload the sound resources (should appear in the console if it is working).

If VoxelMap is the minimap of choice for the ulitmate pack, I sure hope that there is a way to disable the entities radar stuff on the server side. Also, reading through posts on the VoxelMap download page, the author isn't too fond of his stuff being distributed in modpacks, since he doesn't have direct control of his stuff, etc.

Personally, I think mod developers are only hurting themselves if they don't let their mod be bundled in modpacks. It gets their stuff out to more people. I just happened to notice he posted something within the past day saying he didn't want it bundled in modpacks.

FTB supposedly got permission for all of the mods. I agree with you about mods though, I mean if your making it for the community does it matter how they got it?

Hi,

I have no sound either in the ultimate pack.
I've tried F3 + S but nothing append and the console doesn't say anything.

The sound bug is gone. I don't really know why, I've tried F3+s again and mute/unmute sound and music and now it is working.

I think my favorite thing about this preview is that I can now play around with xycraft tanks and assembly tables. If this turns out to be the mod list for the final pack then I will be happy but sorely miss my trains.

From what I have heard this will most likely be the set of mods. They are keeping it beta for a week or so to see if there are any major bugs

They wouldn't give the code to everybody if they don't want you to use it. They said they will release the server files when they put it on the launcher next week (I think)

In theory though, you should be able to update an existing server by pulling over the mods, configs and updating forge to the version in the ultimate pack.

-Edit- would not work with ftb beta or classic, only the 1.4 packs could be updated in this way

Meh, looking at the list it doesn't really add anything that gets me super excited over the stuff Mindcrack/DW20 already has.

AE and Modular Powersuits are just about the only things that really make me go "I want those!".

for me its sorta the overlap of direwolf20/mindcrack like for example I can have Reliquary and mystcraft and also gregtech and advanced machines
