Hey everyone, so recently I've started a project on an auto wool collection farm (you may have heard about it before, and no, It is not my idea). Anyway, I've been having a problem. Every time the sheep is sheered (sheared by deployer's on a timer pulse) the wool is not picked up the transposer and just goes where-else and not into the pneumatic pipe system I have set up :(

I have included some pictures below that may help in describing my problem. I'm hoping that this is not just a noob question and it's me that's doing something wrong, that would be bad, and I would have to feel bad ;)
Thanks everyone! Looking forward to your possible solutions and pointers :3

You can also try making your tube a redstone tube and pulsing the tube. That should make the transposes pull in items from a larger range.

Unpowered transposers will only suck in something that directly touches their input face. As Neoxon stated, you'll want to put them under the pen, but you'll still end up with wool outside of the suction range. If you power them, I believe they'll pull far enough to be able to grab, or you can use obsidian pipes and a BuildCraft pipe system to grab them.

Transposers will only pick up items dropped directly on them when they aren't powered by a redstone pulse. The way you have them oriented, the only way they would work is to have a redstone signal being pulsed to them

As mentioned pulse your transposers. Just stick a lever on top to try it out and you will see the difference.
Then connect them with Redstone tubing. You can run it all of the same timer you use for the deployers with a short delay using a repeater so it picks up a few ticks after shearing.

Ohhh! Okay! Thanks everyone for your replies! Should I delete the thread now that the problem is solved?

No! Just mark, in the original post (and the subject if you can/want) that the issue is solved. Don't change anything else, because this thread will be helpful to other people that may need similar help someday. Good luck!

Powered range is pretty good.

It is 3x3 and from below can pull through 2 full blocks. The block directly above the transposer needs to be transparent or air, but you can basically bury these under a floor and keep it hidden.

To the side it is the same rough shape, but to pull from a third block away the item has to basically be on the edge of the 2nd and third block, which happens naturally in a vertical arrangement....

So you could have a grass layer, full air gap, and then your transposers and have the whole system hidden. That assumes your wool falls to the ground (looks like some may end up on your fences). If not it might be best to move transposers up one and hide with a transparent block (a frame and a green cover?) or level with the ground and not hidden.

Well, transposer sucks items in 3x3 on rising edge, when powered all the time it will just not accept items. I have similar sheep farm with deployers on the same signal as transposers and 4 minute timer (to avoid despawning).

Ok, well I've basically finished making the farm now (will release pictures in the next post) but there's still one thing that's bothering me. Every so often, a sheep will fall into the transposer and will be highlighted black.. errmm?
