hi ... i wanted to make my golem fill my barrels. I did search the net for clues but still idk how to do it. I managed to move 1 item froma chest to a barrel but im thinking about a golem filling more then one barrel ...is it possible? if yes then how ?
 
Which animation core are you using? I'm not sure but I think the one that empties inventories might be what you're looking for.
 
well the golem does take something from the chest using empty but then i point barrel with a bell he dosent move it there...[DOUBLEPOST=1409669786][/DOUBLEPOST]k done it , empty did work. thank you =)
 
but i did encounter another question : witch golem has the biggest range? I have to cover a large room of barrels and idk witch golem should i use

the room is 55 x 35 meaning im serching for a golem that works with 28x18 blocks

tryed with flesh golem with 2 water upgrades and that didint cover the room

theres also another thing...theres a line of barrels and a secound line on top of the first one. sometimes the golem dosent put things in there . get the item , stops next to the barrel and stands with it like an idiot =D is it a bug or smth?

All Golems have the same sight radius, which starts at sixteen blocks. You can't stack upgrades more than twice, so a golem with two water upgrades and the accessory to increase sight is the max possible - not sure if that is enough. The second issue isn't a bug, the golem can't reach the second line of barrels - IIRC it has to be able to access one of the faces from its position to put items in. Using microblock covers to create a ledge for them to walk along at the height of the second row would fix the problem.
 
Use the bell on the top of the barrel and make sure the golem can get to the top... iSidedness is equal parts awesome and PITA
 
i tryed with microblocks and it does work on the top barrels, i can rearange my barels so it could work but again same issiue with golem stoping from puting iside a barrel and this time its bottom barrel , let me get you a jpg

he stands there doing nothing , the command is proper , bell is on top of both barrels.
unfortunatly i dont have jabba barrels =(
 
Try using the bell on the front of the bottom barrels, see if that works

i will try but i dont think that will work. thing is he did take the wheat and went to the correct barrel ..he wanted to put it there so command should be fine. but something is stoping him.

nope , it didint work
tryed placing a secound microblock on the other side of barrel and also didint work
 
With Factorization barrels, they were designed only able to automatically accept items from the top, so while the golem can climb/jump up to reach the top of the upper barrel, it cannot 'reach' the top of the lower barrel to put the items in.
If you want to use a Thaumcraft golem to fill multiple barrels of this type, you will have to leave the tops of the barrels open.

You could use a golem to fill a chest which feeds into a (Factorization) Router which is coded to be able to treat adjacent barrels as a network.
 
so i would have to have like 60 golems runing arround my house for each 2 barrels? ... thats not acceptable

there must be a way of doing it. the basic point of empty and fill is for chests etc
this jabba barrels would solve it?

well i dont have that mod...im not the adming guess il ask the guy that has the server. either way any other options to solve this?
 
If you don't want/need to see what's in the barrels (like you have them hooked up to an AE network) you could make the floor out of barrels. Golems run along the top depositing items into them. No pathing/placing issues.
 
One golem could work on a row of barrels placed with golem access space above them.
For example (assuming no golem upgrades): Chest (stuff to sort) in the middle with 8 barrels in a row "bbbbbbbbCbbbbbbbb", perhaps with a second row of barrels (facing the other side) behind that row to give you a free-standing storage rectangle?

The other options would involve either Factorization's Router, or other transport methods from other mods such as Buildcraft's pipes, Logistics Pipes, Extra Utiliities' Item Transfer Node & Transfer Pipes

with 2 water upgrades the golem covers enough space. that shouldent be a problem i cant handle. the main issiue is that barrel under a barrel.
 
If you want to use golems into those barrels, they need to be able to access the top. Maybe leave a space above each barrel so you have a little golem walkway?
