I'm sure the snarky qualifier made you feel better, but don't do this when prefacing a post, please. Disagreement and dissent are great. Insulting people who don't agree with you is not and may end with us dropping anvils on your head.

Thanks.
It's not about insulting them, when I wrote my post I knew it's apperently a very unpopular opinion, you know what usually happens when you post an unpopular opinion, right? Something like "uh ma gawd, u so fukin stewpit" When I said in a yt comment that I don't like thaumcraft anymore exactly that happened "your so fucking stupid just stop playing minecraft you are so dumb" (copy&pasted from yt)

Yeah, but the thing with retarded idiots is, that they think of themselves that they are brilliant and read your post anyways. So your warning is ignored and you get the rants despite of it rendering it senseless. ;)

How many people do you think would read your preface and think, "actually, I am a bit retarded, I'll skip this one"?

That's so odd. YouTube comments are usually so polite and informative. You must've just been unlucky and caught someone on a bad day.

Here's a thought. Maybe people will reply negatively because your arguement is of crap and they simply can't agree with it. I read that post and I agreed with most of what was said, though it needed to be worded better in a way people wouldn't lose the point in the arguement under syntax, but I digress, if people don't agree with you it's because they differ in opinion.

You could have opened, like I did, with "this is probably unpopular opinion" which would prepare people for a contrast of opinion, but ultimately jumping the gun and expecting idiocy or retardation from people and even broadcasting your expectations the way you did will bury your point under said syntax as it has clearly done now.

Also, don't talk back to the moderator and attempt to justify this. It was crystal clear you wrote that in the context he warned you with and justifying what you said is digging yourself deeper.

Now, Can we keep this thread about Thaumcraft and stop rubbing this poor guy's nose in it?

Absolutely. You won't forget what I said about golems tho. :D

As to the golems getting stuck, OF COURSE they are getting stuck. Every single furnace/jar set up I've seen makes the same mistake. They have it set up like they did for pipes: jars down one wall, turn a corner, jars down that wall, furnace at the end. Then they wonder why the golem wanders through the center of the room and get hung up on the altar. Simple geometry, golems always take the shortest path, even if that means climbing over 1 block high obstacles.

The answer, then, becomes simple. You want to make sure the shortest path is ALWAYS free from obstacles. Thus, the proper set up is jars down one wall, furnace at that corner, jars down the other wall. The golem now has a straight line to path to every jar and never has to leave the edges of the room and thus never, ever goes to the middle of the room and get stuck.

Edit:
A graphical guide to show what I mean.

Hence why my setup had the jars all in one room with the furnace/alembics. I hadn't even unlocked essentia pipes(nor knew they existed in TC 4) and I had a simple solution to a issue that everyone seems to still have.

Yeah, you can use essentia mirrors to move the production room elsewhere. This works and is fairly simple to set up, though.

Really, compared to most other forms of transport, golems come out ahead for everything but raw speed or complex sorting if you are going short distances. The rules of golem pathing aren't complicated, they take nearly no resources comparatively, you don't have to worry about routing stuff behind walls, they don't get backstuffed, and you can fit several golems along one path with almost no problems.

Honestly, I'd use essentia mirrors to send the essentia to my uses for it.
Unless you mean the same sort of thing and I'm just confused again.

Actually as said before he plans on redoing it, or nerfing it.
I enjoyed repair in TC3, it was plenty balanced, drawing off Vis from the aura. Now, though, the Vis system is a little too complicated for that.

As the saying goes, opinions are like assholes -- everybody's got one. News flash: When someone else doesn't agree with your opinion, that doesn't make them an "idiot" or "retarded" -- it just means they disagree. When you start off (and continue with) insulting anyone who might have a different opinion, that makes it obvious that no, your problem is not with "people who can't accept that I have this opinion". It means that you are the one who can't handle other people's opinions.

When did I insult everyone with a different opinion? I didn't. I insult everyone who can't accept the fact that I have my own opinion (like these guys saying "omg you don't like 4.1, go fuck yourself")

Also just putting the furnaces behind the wall of jars makes life so much easier as the golem now has no obstruction. I always laugh at people setting up their Thaumcraft stuff in the way you detailed.
