I've not personally had this issue. So it might just be AE. Or I'm just not very observant with my power unless it runs out unexpectedly. I'd say more testing is needed. But as KL and Race have pointed out, attention is towards 1.7 now; and the work around when it does crop up is easy enough.

The thing is, there's no code difference between Hardened and Redstone ducts. Like, 0. If your cells are indeed full, it does sound like a duct problem, but there's nowhere in the code path where it wouldn't also happen with Redstone.

0 diff? Not even in the loss/consumption calculation?

I've not noticed it before either. But just as dothrom I do not really micromanage the conduits, so I might have had some 'leakage' in the past without knowing.. I do switch all my conduits to the redstone energy conduit version pretty early-game though, and those seem to be fine. I will just keep doing that.

@KL
I can imagine the REC version has a bigger "buffer" or something, maybe the calculation is done based on something like that and it doesn't work well with the hardened version.

But hey, if the ducts are being re-written in the 1.7 versions there is really no need to spent time to investigate. We'll migrate over it pretty soonish :)

So, a final update.. I switched out that one leadstone conduit for a redstone conduit and yes it did fix things.

However, when I first put it in I saw the full leadstone energy cell reporting 80RF/t in and 26RF/t out.. I was worried, but after about 30seconds it all settled out and it's 26RF/t on both sides.

So perhaps the conduit between the cell & ME system was never able to fill? (maybe the ME system was draining it to fill it's own internal buffer too fast?) I know Hardened conduits have a 2400RF buffer, but Redstone Conduits don't (they just have a flat 5% loss, right?) .. Either way, it's working now.

I actually noticed the same thing. The first few seconds the energy usage of the cell went to 100% (400 RF/T) but stabilized at 48rf/t a bit later.

Indeed, let it go :)
