Randomized everything, replayability, dungeons, hack and slash, shops, limited ressources, cave world, perma death, easy to get into, no crafting, lot's of options to accomplish goals, no hunger, no natural heart gen, no natural monster spawning, replayability, careful exploration (with deadly world), bosses, endboss.

I still want a rail focused pack. Pipes and tubes don't go more than eight blocks, no item teleportation allowed, flight limited to mekanism jetpacks, or Archimedes Ships. Long distance transportation only over rails. Now that we have Flux Carts, there's no need for tesseracts.

I tried to make a pack like this but I couldn't figure out how to nerf pipes without just making them super expensive, because it's a real pain to hook up machines with either really expensive pipes or a rail cart running around. I think if we could get the short pipe limit this would be completely possible. And then like you said there was not a real good way to incorporate power in something like this(I also didn't know about immersive engineering) man I was a bad pack dev, I wonder if anything has changed XD.

I know Enviromine has a thing where blocks fall if they're unsupported for more than 3 blocks long. Trouble is most cables/pipes get run along the floor, or hidden in walls. I was watching Lensmanoz playing Revolution 2, and he mentioned having his pipes falling when he tried to go through the air with them. Don't know anything about how to do it, but it might be worth asking either the pack dev or the mod dev for Enviromine. (At least I think it's Enviromine.)

The other option is to ask mod devs for a distance limit, but I can't see bothering a bunch of them for one mod pack, so there'd have to be just one or two mods with pipes in it. I'm playing under that sort of rule in my LP, and it's working well enough, but I can see people cheating the rule if there's no way to enforce it.

IE is nice, but I like it less for this kind of challenge pack. I prefer now having the option to run power via rail. Though if they were changed to provide power along the length of the cable, rather than at the connectors, that might be interesting. Set them all up to run through Relays, so they only can provide power on one length of cable... That's probably too hard.

One of those things that'll be a pipe dream. Though if you manage it, let me know, I'll be very interested.

What of pipes were disabled and we had translocaters instead?

Oh cool, two likes. Does somebody want to work with me to create this pack? I've already got a few of the most important mods:
zeldaswordskills -> locked doors (for boss dungeon entrances) + unbreakable blocks + lots of items + better combat
chocolate quest -> bosses, custom dungeons, shops
cave world 2 -> you can enter the next dimension (floor) after you've killed the boss of the current one
rougelike dungeons -> you can make the dungeon rooms be everywhere with the config
doomlike dungeons -> can be used with rougelike or as a replacement
epic siege mode -> progression: mobs get more hitpoints after killing a boss
hunger overhaul -> no heart gen, no hunger
deadly world only works in the overworld :(

An infrastructure based modpack.

No tesseracts or any block that instantly zaps things from place to place. All rails and pipes.

Galacticraft included for off-planet mining. Must use cargo rockets to haul it home.

All ores extremely rare. Tinkers with iguanas tweaks. Lycanite mobs in the nether to make you think twice about those nether ores.

A slow progression pack that encourages trading and cooperation for dungeon raids and resource sharing.

WIP Mod List

additions / removals / tweak s suggestions welcome.

Yes, I agree, though I've had more than my fill of Galacticraft lately. Particularly since More Planets requires you to continue finding deposits of Meteoric Iron, or sit on the moon for months waiting for meteors to fall in quantity enough to use. Maybe throw Metallurgy into the mix and ore dict something rare and expensive from the mod to alternately replace it. Maybe Mithril, or something like it, found on Venus for example.

Moderate Iguana's Tweaks. Leave wooden parts on, but heads start with stone. Replaceability is important, automatic upgrades not so much.

Thanks, I will consider Metalurgy. I'm using ExtraPlanets, not sure if it works the same as MorePlanets in regards to Meteoric Iron. Perhaps I can make it spawn inside the moon so it can be mined.
