Is it possible to use different saplings in a tree farm cart? Or only vanilla? I want to use the MFR rubber trees but not sure if it will work

Steve's carts farm will be nerfed. You will have to repair your minecart unless you build extremely expensive galgadorian woodcutter.

I am fully aware of this. Nor does it matter as I am playing Ultimate. I am using it for wood not for fuel or any thing. I simply wanted to know if its limited to vanila saplings or not...

Actually, I didn't test it by myself, but someone wrote here, that for now it doesn't work. But also I heard that it will work in 1.5.1

I haven't tried the MFR rubber trees, but in the tests I did, it only worked with vanilla trees, neither IC² rubber trees nor forestry trees worked. This test was done in a MindCrack pack ~3 months ago, so it could be that this has changed in the latest versions.

In 1.4.7 not at the current versions of the mod... but I haven't looked if the functionality was added to the top update for 1.4.7 or 1.5.X.

It is currently listed as a score of "7" (aka likely addition) on his wiki though (http://stevescarts2.wikispaces.com/Suggested+Features) So I don't know if its even a feature yet.

And why so much drama over the new features.. Yes, you'll have to build a galgadorian cutter to have maintenance free tree farm, yes... it is very expensive, yes its a pain to make..

It is a MAINTENANCE FREE, high output do once and forget means to creatify your wood/sapling/apple supplies... a very suitable change to an extremely overpowered feature.

I just hope to see a train deployer module that will deploy/pickup X carts so you can slam it on the back of a mining cart and have it form a delivery truck back to the manager rather then having the mining cart travel back and forth.

Tbh it's not even that expensive and its higher output than before. So like post above this is a good new feature. Plus who doesn't like variety.

Hoo, buddy. If the Steve Cart's Wiki isn't lying, that cutter looks like a real pain in the ass to make.

It's not even really about the materials, honestly. It's simply about the fact that you have tier upon tier upon tier of crafting patterns that you have to calculate how much of you need. Think of the 64k storage cell from AE and what a pain that thing is to make.

Think of the fact that with AE once you make a pattern once you NEVER have to manually make it again if you input it inside the M.A.... So you complicated crafting is easy as going to sleep. :D

personally I'm happy more modders are making their stuff more difficult. I don't need to be on "creative" mode after a day or two.
