Somewhat advanced Extra Bees question For experts!

Hello all, I've been trying to get the maximum fertility trait on my radioactive queen, and I put the serum in the inoculater (filled with 16 charges and excellent quality) but once I put the bee in the alviary it spits out 4 drones that aren't pure and eventually works it way back down to low fertility. Am I doing something wrong?

Put the trait on a princess and a drone, not on the queen.

Putting traits on the queen can be useful, but only in some specific cases, aka if it wouldn't work and/or harm you otherwise and then only for one generation. To get a stable line, as others have pointed out, you need to manipulate princess and drone before mating.

Don't forget that one has to get the trait as both active and inactive traits on both the drone and princess if you really want that trait. Leave it out of one, and you risk Mendel giving you the D.
