I
I can understand that. He's a Greek god, after all.
So hello everybody!
Hello Whizzball.
Hey guys, am I the only one with two characters here?
I
I can understand that. He's a Greek god, after all.
So hello everybody!
Name:T. Harbarker
Age: Unknown
Power: Very Mild-hypnosis/mind control. Think Jedi mind tricks. Important to note it doesn't work over video, and it's often passed off as luck. Also fully immune to mind-control.
Personality:Jovial, Smug, a bit of an asshole. Wears a tin hat and sneers alot.
Important Experiences: The ability was only discovered when T. H. tried to sway a person's mind over Skype. It was the first time it didn't work, and thus the first time the guy became aware of his power. Also won the lottory, completely legitly, before karma kicked his ass and sucked him into the institute.
Name:H. Newman
Age: 17
Power: Can boost any power to the max, for 15 minutes. That includes his own muscles, giving him superhuman strength in bursts. Often results in a whiplash though.
Personality:Introverted, shy, distrustful
Important Experiences: Lived his life online since he was 12, mostly hanging out in the "odd" forums, but has a ridiculous amount of trivia-type knowledge.
Read my last post, Aphrodite took Will's hint and Hera only comes for sex-related things.Hey Whizz, I see what Jess says, but I think godly family members are ok, as long as they stop interfering.
Bella, I propose you place god-shielding around the facility!
Or just Whizz stops being uber OP.
Read my last post, Aphrodite took Will's hint and Hera only comes for sex-related things.
Hera should stop coming at allRead my last post, Aphrodite took Will's hint and Hera only comes for sex-related things.
NO DIVINE INTERVENTION, YOU HEAR ME!?!?!?
1) Aphrodite saved your life or at least you from severe pain or something bad...
I WILL NOT LET MYSELF IN REAL LIFE GET DEFILED BY HAVING ANYTHING TO DO WITH PORN, EVEN IN A STORY!
God hates Adultery, and therefore I will not have anything to do with it.
As long as Bella doesn't start up any perverse tests, Hera won't have to intervene.
She hates it when charmspeak doesn't work.
And she also knows I hate it when she intervenes, and so does it on purpose to make me mad.
Aphrodite isn't going to do it anymore. I spent like, 5 hours of my day asking her not to do it and she finally gave in from the annoyance.
Whizz, if you don't wanna stop using gods (>.>) then you should just list "godly relatives" as a passive ability so the facility can deal with it.
1003 would be hilarious, especially if Hera was used right, and was banging around right outside while the guy was engulfed in pr0n.
Oh great you started religious debate, in an RP. Good job whizz.
OOC:
Eh, if Ex just jumped in, I'm assuming I can too. I'll post when I'm done reading the thread.
Also, this would be a really awesome adventure map.
That's mine. I may add another later, as an opposite and have them kill each-other, but for now I've got to catch up on the thread.Code:Name:T. Wait am I still making the mythology RP? I wasn't gonna do it ATM cuz I'm working out an important plot.
Well I already made it...
I'm still looking for someone to act as Annabeth and Sadie.
Ya, I really don't want to read 11 pages of this >_>.
Anyone want to give me a summary? I'd be much more inclined to role-play direct posts, rather than adding on my tidbits to other situations (sorry, but I am new to this and don't really understand what to do. Though I guess knowing what has happened is kinda a requirement. Maybe when I am less tired.)
OOC: It's 033. By now you've probably guessed that most of these come from SCPs. Here's the page for it:http://www.scp-wiki.net/scp-033
For those too lazy to click the link it goes like this: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0. All the numbers we can use to make other larger number right? Wrong. We missed a number somewhere. 033 is an equation that proves this, and if properly solved will reveal the number we missed.
You may want to skim through the site as any anomaly below 2000 can be found on there.[DOUBLEPOST=1373775208][/DOUBLEPOST]You might want to skim down to the one I mentioned earlier. It could help Thanatos out...
OOC: Signing up like I said I would a few hours ago.
Name: James Martin
Age: 27
Power: Able to create low voltage electrical strikes, and slow time for 5 seconds with 60 sec cool down.
Personality: Generally cheerful, and somewhat obnoxious
Important Experiences: Attempted to murder school deputy
How they got to the institution: People noticed him bending time.
That's probably the worst application ever. Horray!
Alright, I've read the thread, and cringed at several moments. I'm sorry. Mini rant, and then I buff my character because he's insanely weak in comparison to some of the guys here.
Whizz, your character is OP. Bella's bit on "no body part may be invincible" applies to family members. Gods, etc. You've literally committed dues ex machina several times. Srsly bro, wtf. Also, RP is often more turn based. Just sayin'.
Second, call me a hardass, but Bella is essentially the game master here, and thus his word should be law.
Third, players have to accept that their characters can be defeated. If an obvious weakness is exploited, such as Whizz's obliviousness to modern tech, or Mark's super weird metabolism/drug blood being purified, then acceptance is a must. I don't want this to turn out like the other thread.
Fourth, how has no-one even made an attempt to escape yet? Sheesh.
Sixth...no, wait, fifth, sorry for that. It's just that I used to write in a fairly large RP called Chess game of the Gods, in the Chessverse, and maaan, the rules were harsh, but the endings were beautiful.
Anyway, I made myself fully immune to mind control, but reduced the scope of my power, as well as changed the nature of it. Now, it uses brainwaves or something. You're only safe if you wear a tin hat. Or have mind-control powers of your own, er even just a fairly strong will to do something else.

I also have a second character ready, but I don't expect it to appear much. Mostly because his power is really OP when combined with just about anything. Have a power that uses the acidity of water to dissove just about everything, although slowly? Power boosted to melt through steel instantly. Are you a god? Well now you are a law of the universe. For a short time, at least.

Apparently, yes.Mind Control?! Is that a trend?
