Redpower + Gregtech?

Okay you need to get this straight-
Gregtech is now nerfed for 1.5 and Greg inserted code to make minecraft crash when tinkers construct is loaded. =malware. Also Greg is making wood only produce 2 wooden planks each, which halves how much wood you will have and doubles how many trees you have to cut down.
Onto redpower-
Eloraam hasn't updated redpower since 1.4.7 and said months ago that she was almost ready to update to 1.5, which she hasn't, and she's not informed anybody on how far she is and what's happening, almost like she's not even there. Plus redpower is closed source and she refuses to let anyone else update it or take it over. She is also the one reason why ftb ultimate hasn't updated, and is locked.

Looks like you cannot insert GregTech into Unleashed. Seems to crash on startup. I like his machines but I hate his tweaks. Why are some mod makers so warped?
I find it funny that his is the smallest of the new packs seems no one wants to play with him.

you will have to use a version before the spat not sure which update will work.
I was browsing the minecraft forums and there was a guy/gal who was making their own version of RP2 called "Project Red" hoping for it to be a replacement. This may or may not be a contender if RP2 isn't going to update.
Can we please stop this argument? Slowpoke stated that this was not malware, and some people like Greg's changes. I'll respect the decisions of those who don't, just ... let's please stop this debate.
Hey it's not a debate I was just informing the creator of this topic about what's happening with gregtech and redpower, and yes it may not be malware, but Greg purposely made his mod crash your game, and that's just not right. I'm not bashing Greg or anything I'm just writing facts/info.
As a heads up I'm monitoring this thread. The discussion of what went on with GregTech is archived in this thread. Other considerations also went into this determination, namely how GregTech is increasingly becoming a total conversion mod that changes basic Minecraft mechanics, and the Unhinged pack was created as a result of this.
The discussion of RedPower2 has been all over the place, but the most recent note (that's particularly relevant to the original question here) is from this thread. Without Eloraam updating, RedPower2 cannot go into packs past 1.4.7. Don't ask any ETAs, nobody has the answer to that.

The crash is so that you fix the config so that the saw doesn't break functionality. GT and TC can live in the same pack just fine whether you want 2 wood by default and 4 from a saw (hard) or 4 wood by default and 5 wood from a saw (normal). The error is so you don't end up with 4 wood by default and 4 wood from a saw (broken).
