I might have an explanation as to Eloraam's taking forever to update. She's too busy dating Flowerchild.
That totally made the previous 20 pages worth my time. Anyone who knows their history just laughed their collective asses off =)
Someone mentioned it's far to early to pronounce RP2 dead. Agreed, there are several major mods that are not 1.5.x ready, so this is really a pointless conversation. And to those of you who think Elo owes us anything, even a tweet? Well, I think you're wrong (you have no idea how many times I re-wrote that sentence).
The problem (also mentioned before) is that RP2 is so damn big, useful and
pervasive! I keep thinking "Oh, well it's just transport and sorting, AE's got me covered" and then I remember Project tables, red-alloy wire/jacketed cable, logic gates, micro blocks, world gen, the bloody sickle...it goes on and on. And no, I don't want to replace it with a half dozen other mods, any one of which could easily end up in the same boat.
I've said it before, the villain here is Mojang (yes, that's hyperbole), in giving us updates that provide very little in terms of useful features (obviously very much my opinion), but change enough "under the hood" that force major re-writes of mods. Hopefully the advances in Forge contribute to making version updates to mods far less painful.
