Or we could just axe research entirely. I mean, nearly everyone that knows HOW to turn this off WILL turn this off. That kinda means it shouldn't be there.

That's why I suggested making it optional and rewarding. With my idea you can pretty much get one of every item in the mod for the price of one wood gear. Who wouldn't want to use that.

You do know this system is meant for younger newer players.
Those unfamiliar with Buildcraft.
If you are a leat player or more likely, simply have no intention on using buildcraft anyway, please don't respond.
If you are a leat player

You mean 1337?

Yeah, I'm with @Not_Steve on this. That's horribly unbalanced. I wouldn't want anything like that.

That's a bit rude.

I'd be happy with them being this slow if there was a cheap way to upgrade them to be faster.
And preferably a more expensive way after that to make them even faster that requires some serious infrastructure. The little guys have the POTENTIAL to be very strong, but as of now they're nigh-useless because even an unequipped player is faster.

Just looking over SpaceToads explination of his direction of BC... mod changes aside... I'm finding he is agonizing to listen too... like I want to break stuff and I'm not even half way through it.

The robots might add some complexion.

Complexion? As in Peachy? Olivy oily? Dark walnut?
Or you were looking for complexity perhaps? ;)[DOUBLEPOST=1406578418][/DOUBLEPOST]

That's sad. I quite liked listening to him.

And yes... reading research on how to learn things in a book (ie AM2, botanica) is awesome. In game reference is huge. Research for the sake of extending the mod experience is dumb. You don't learn anything from TC research. Your mod doesn't make any more sense because you make it teired. The only thing you've ascertained through research is awareness that you've wasted time, asset, etc.
