lies...The Extractor doesn't need 10 Million RF/t. On another note you don't even use RF unless for tesseracting so why didn't they say x number of GW...
EDIT: This gave the wrong meaning to my post. I meant to point out a flaw in there logic...also you have better reasons to produce that power

Which are you asking for? I save the posts by idiots - under the "What NOT to do unless you want to look like an idiot" heading of my first post on my thread - but I do not still have the getting laughed out of the IRC channel, as I did not feel it was a good idea to save. The mod devs laughing were big-name developers who likely have the clout to screw me over if I make a "look, mod dev X is closed-minded and rude!" kind of post, and I was not exactly keen on saving a memory of a rather unpleasant and embarrassing moment.
Yep. It causes them to yell at the mod creator because the creator tries to stop people from editing the mod (Once again, against the EULA), and then proceed to advertise the server in the same thread.

What really gets me is "And you could've kept a customer". Hello. Have you read Mojang's EULA? Modmakers *can't* make money off their work. How many people use Reika's mod is irrelevant. Reika is making money off Patreon now, and I'd donate even if I didn't like the mod, because I may not like it, but it's a good mod. And I would be, but I can't convince my parents to let me donate. :/

What people need to realize is that most mod makers don't make mods to make money, they make mods because they would like to see what they made in minecraft and/or want to contribute to the community. So threats of "you could have kept a customer" not only make no sense, but do NOTHING to the mod maker.

I get the feeling they used the phrase because they are the kind of person who spews obscenities and not-always-empty threats in real life at cashiers and the like.

I was actually in an argument with a friend of mine who happens to be a mod dev. He was telling me that I'm using the "wrong MC version", because I made a mod that I could use in my current SP world so I don't have to deal with a flint/steel's 65 durability just to light a nether portal. I explained that the world is based on RotaryCraft and its addons, and he continued to tell me that I am using the wrong MC version. How I should be using 1.7, even though the mods I specifically wanted to use aren't updated. Blargh.

Wrong MC version = The version you're being forced to play by idiot friends, rather than the version you choose to be on.
Well, I can contribute now. On a server with a friend of mine, I was trying to explain mods to him (he plays only vMC, I somehow convinced him to get on a modded one). Specifically he wanted to know more about RotaryCraft and its bedrock armor and tools. The following conversation then occurred (Spoilered, due to it being rather lengthy):
Friend: "How do I get a bedrock sword?"
Me: "Bedrock breaker"
Friend: "Okay, will a gasoline engine power it?"
Me: "Nope, the torque is no where near what's needed, same with the power output. Try looking in the handbook to see what other engines there are."
Friend: "I don't have that. Will a gasoline engine power it?"
Me: "No, check the handbook for the requirements."
Friend: "I don't have that. Will a steam engine work?"
Me: "No, that's even worse. Make the handbook and look up the outputs for each engine, and the requirements for the machines."
Friend: "Will a gasoline engine work?"
Me: "No, RotaryCraft has tiers you need to go through, and the gasoline engine is no where near enough to power it. Make the handbook and read it; the mod will eat people who try to power through it without knowing what they're doing."
Friend: "Will a magnetostatic power it?"
Me: "Not without upgrading it a bunch."
Friend: "How do I do that?"
Me: "Check NEI for the upgrades?"
Friend: "How do I make them?"
Me: "Check NEI. Already said that."
Friend: "Why won't it work?"
Me: "The torque is way too low, 4 Nm is not 8192. Plus, the power isn't enough."
Friend: "Speak English."
Me: "Read the handbook."
Friend: "The handbook doesn't say anything about how the mod works. It's useless."
Me: "I learned the mod through the handbook, as well as several others. It works, read it."
Friend: "I'm not an engineer, I play games to relax not to do engineer stuff. Why isn't it easier?"
Me: "It's simple math. Multiply two numbers together, maybe some adding based on what you're doing."
Friend: "It's still too hard. And the bedrock stuff is OP anyway, I'll find another way to get Looting."
Me: "Large reward for a large amount of work. Welcome to RotaryCraft."
Friend: "It's still OP. Why don't we have a bee to make diamonds yet?"
Me: "I haven't touched bees yet."
Friend: "Why won't this bee do anything?" (He's inside, and the GUI clearly states it's a LoS issue with the sky).
Friend: "Bees are too OP anyway."
This entire time I'm on IRC talking with @trajing and @SatanicSanta, telling them about this whole thing. So in case anyone saw Santa's "status update" or whatever it's called here and wondered what I was doing, the above convo is how it came about. For those who haven't seen it:

Edit: I forgot the magnetostatic part of the convo.
The part that gets me the most was asking numerous times if the gasoline engine was enough to power the bedrock breaker, even after I gave the specs of the engine and the minimum requirements of the breaker.
The above conversation is why the two of us rarely play MC together.
